The song is just……….. I don’t know how to explain. But in my current condition, which is I feel somehow exhausted and lonely, and missing my treasured people. When every night I feel like listening to ballad song and cry.
The lyrics somehow really got me. When Jonghyun’s voice said “수고했어요 정말 고생했어요" (it’s a term that people in Korea usually said, ‘you’ve worked hard’ ‘you did a good job’ ‘it must been hard’ ‘you’ve been through much’, something like that), I can’t help but became teary. And miss my people even more.
The song itself tells about how in the end of the day, although you spent your whole day in different situation, you have this particular person who will be there for you. Comfort you, no matter how hard your day was, he/she told you: 수고했어요 정말 고생했어요. You’ve worked hard. And it just hit me.
Being parted thousand miles from your family or friends, living by your own in different country/city, it can’t be avoided that there will always time when you feel extremely lonely. And you just need your comfort zone and people to be there in the end of the day. Not just an empty one room studio. Although they didn’t know exactly what happened to you through the day, but without any words- just hugs you, comforts you- it definitely helps you on let go any hardship you feel all day.
Those simple affections help you to realize that you’re not alone.
And I currently need that. I really need someone to tell me and comfort me something like that. Because these days are the days when I do feel lonely.
That’s why when I heard this song, although I only able to caught several part of the lyrics, I wasn’t just listen to the song. The melody and song is already beautiful. But the lyrics and the MV is just… yeah.. so meaningful to that extend you want to thank the singer, thank you for writing and singing this beautiful song.
Miss you.
