Samezuka swim team (or just the relay team with Iwatobis idc) going to Karaoke and Ai goes and sings some really cheesy and beautiful love song or something and Rin can’t help himself he just keeps staring and he has this really stupid ass fond smile on his face and HE EVEN LETS OUT THIS DEEP HAPPY SIGH when he watches Ai sing about loooove and all around them just being like “yeah the sharkboy is a goner, we have lost a good man for love” (please notice the terrible pun Ai=love)

Headcanon that Rin and Ai just love making out like really love it and if you leave them alone for 0.03 seconds there's 98% chance they're making out when you get back and they can really go for it for hours and Sousuke learns this pretty quickly like he walks in on them about 386729 times and gets used to it really and sometimes he's like "yo I'm going to my physical therapy for my shoulder, I'll be back in hour and half or something" and he only gets little hums as a reply and when he comes back Rin and Ai are still at it like wtf stop sucking each other's faces already and yassss Sousuke is pretty sure those two hold some sort of record for this.

Rin accidentally calling Ai something like sweetie or sweetheart because some guys on swim team teased him that he seriously calls Nitori “love” so why not call him sweetheart too or something. And then Ai arrives and is like ‘good morning Rin-senpai’ and Rin is still distracted by those who teased him a bit so he answer 'morning sweetheart.. I MEAN FUCK OH SHIT NO AI I MEANT AI GOOD MORNING AI SHIT FUCK OH GOD’ and then he probs dies in embarrassment.  And Ai is just really confused and little embarrassed as well (AND BLUSHING). But who are having the most fun? Surely those who teased Rin (more likely other third year students or bolder second years who don’t think much of these senpai/captain things I think?) 

Imagine Rin opening up to someone about how he has a crush on Ai. And imagine that that someone is not Sousuke nor Haru, not even Makoto or Rei but Nagisa.  That would be adorable. Absolutely adorable. Nagisa would tease Rin a little for sure but he could also get serious about it. And comfort Rin and make that dense sharkboy realise that hey lil ducky loves you too so now go get him kitty tiger before it’s too late!  I’d enjoy that so much. Too much. I love RinAi. And Nagisa. And Rin and Nagisa’s friendship. Wow. I must lie down. 

I can imagine Ai coming to visit Rin in Australia and there wouldn't be big hello's before Ai is ready for action and just starts kissing Rin and oh trust me he is ready to go all the way Rin's been waiting to see Ai too and he would just love to have him right there but is afraid that it would be too fast for Ai just to "attack" him right after he walks in. So when it's Ai who starts kissing him instead he is little shocked and is like "whoa there! Aren't we going little too fast? Like shouldn't we talk a little first...?" and Ai would just stare at him and kick some sense into Rin with "We live in different countries! The only thing we can do most of the time is talk!" Rin would think for a while and then just shrug because hey Ai is right, and then he just goes with whatever Ai wants because he is whipped like that for sure trust me
