A controversial young art duo included in the show breaks new ground with Can’t Help Myself (2016), a gigantic robot equipped with a single arm upon whose end a shovel-like object is attached. It is the brainchild of Beijing-based artists Sun Yuan and Peng Yu. Described by the press release as “guard” of sorts, the robot’s duty is to contain a pool of dark liquid resembling blood as it starts to seep away. The more the substance oozes, the more frantic the robot grows, shoveling the liquid in a move that leaves behind smears and traces of red.

Summary:

As a young surgeon, Hannibal Lecter encounters a young man in for a scan of his head. Instead of giving a diagnosis and starting treatment right away, Hannibal gets to know the man instead. It’s been a long time since he was genuinely fascinated by someone. (Manipulation but a happy ending, no death or on-screen murder)

Hannibal very rarely felt guilt, in fact he wasn’t certain he was actually capable of properly feeling it. He could express concern, interest, curiosity; sometimes he could admit that a certain decision he’d made perhaps wasn’t the most correct at the time, but he didn’t weigh himself down with guilt over it.

But just as Will Graham had brought out Hannibal’s desire, where it so rarely came through, so too did he start to bring about twinges of what Hannibal supposed were aspects of guilt.

After drinks, they had had dinner.

After dinner they had had sex.

I made one of my fandom besties through comments, too. She was fandom-famous for her comments. Truly epic. Full of commentary and humour and enthusiasm. Honestly, she was a dream (and a great author in her own right, too!). 

But back then, I was posting daily. Sometimes multiple fics on the same day. We were chatting on hangouts by that point, and I’d link her to a new chapter when I posted because back in 2015 AO3 emails were slower and she didn’t want to have to wait half an hour to find out a new chapter was up.
