Week 13 ೃ࿔*:・
⟢ What did you learn about your writing process that will help you after college?
This project helped me understand that my writing process works best when I give myself time to think. I realized I tend to see patterns before I write about them, and that drafting with data is a struggle for me. I also learned I am pretty brief with revisions. My first drafts were more like final ideas than drafts. After college, I think this awareness will help me approach big projects in a more concise and slow manner. Instead of expecting and prioritizing perfection from the start, I’ll slow my process down and build the final product piece by piece.
This is a great reflection. It sounds like the best approach for you is to really take your time in the beginning and that will set yourself up for success at the end. I honestly feel like I tend to do the opposite, but it is awesome to hear another perspective!
