hey guys! so i think iâm gonna slowly come back. iâve had time to calm down and debrief my grief. that isnât to say iâve moved on, but iâm slowly getting better :)
so quick update again. iâm gonna be inactive for just a bit longer as iâve lost my grandmother a few days ago and itâs really really taking a toll on me
she and i were super close, so itâs really hitting hard
i have her funeral on friday, so at least until around sunday iâll be taking just a bit more time off. maybe later than that. im not totally sure.
iâm sorry to disappear again, iâll be back as soon as possible
so, a family emergency has come up, and i donât know how active iâll be for the time being because i am sorta going through anticipatory grief, and most likely on a few days at most, actual grief

sorry, but i find echo kinda cringe, why put their names on it when the song should higlight the dancers? This plus this swf season being the weakest almost guarantee echo challenge wont be near as popular as smoke was. Knets already complain bout the song.

as for this season not being as popular, i fear there isnât much we can do about that. smoke was an iconic dance challenge, but maybe echo will grow in popularity the more it gets played. especially if the song becomes released

they have a very lavish life, jihoon doesnât seem like he spends a lot of money on a lot of things, but for his fur baby? he makes quite the big exception
overall, he just loves his cat with his whole heart, and turns into a totally different, clingy person whenever heâs around them

iâm actually gonna do my own spin on things, and gift you guys with a little teaser of the apocalypse au @wooziorgans and i are working on đââď¸ iâm gonna give a little spoiler/guide on what each member is like and why we decided it
Seungcheol:
Seungcheol in our au is sort of the âex army general.â He served in the army, but eventually was discharged due to his disagreements with the higher-ups. Heâs seen the horrors in captivity before things went wrong and got messy. He didnât agree with how things were run, and he didnât want to be responsible for the demise of many innocent lives because things werenât handled correctly
I feel like this fits Seungcheol well. We know he does get scared easily, but he always steps up when he needs to. Especially for his members. So having him as the hard-ass army leader man with a soft spot for the people heâs leading? Perfect character archetype for Seungcheol
Jeonghan:
The best way I can describe Jeonghan in this au is like,,, the calm and collected military wife
Heâs usually the voice of reason if Seungcheol flies off the handle. He has a more calm, logical approach, as well as a more nurturing aura to him, as well
That isnât to say he canât be an absolute savage if needed, he still does stir trouble, but when situations need, heâs usually the calm and collected one of the bunch
âŚHonestly, I donât think I really need to explain much more. Itâs just Jeonghan
Joshua:
Joshua is also kind of the mother hen of the group. Heâs the one that constantly does head counts of the group out of his own paranoia, and also makes sure those who canât really fight hide in decent spots before he even thinks about finding a hiding spot on his own
Joshua is good with hand-to-hand combat, but that doesnât really help when youâre fighting off zombies and could easily get infected by ingesting even a drop of their blood
I think this character archetype is fitting for Joshua, as he is very caring towards his members. Hyungs or maknaes, heâs always looking out for his family
Jun:
Jun is definitely one of the more reckless ones of the group. He tends to get a little too eager to approach or enter a new environment without really thinking logically about what could be awaiting for them inside
Excellent with guns. It isnât ideal that the only reliable weapon he could find was a handgun, but he makes it work. His aim is sharp, and heâs good at immobilizing any zombies running towards them at full speed
I like that we chose this archetype for Jun because even though he isnât ârecklessâ per se, he still does have a lot of fire in him that the fanbase grazes over and doesnât really acknowledge
Hoshi:
Good lord, Hoshi.
We kinda made him a little stupid in this, but stupid in the sense that thereâs comedic relief in tense situations
Heâs very good with scavenging areas and finding supplies in even the bleakest of places if desperation calls. He can fit into small spaces because of his lean stature, and can sprint like no other
I feel like this oneâs also self-explanatory. Hoshi is just our little ball of hyperactivity
Wonwoo:
He makes me giggle n kick my feet in this fic hehehe
We did not make this intentional with his enlistment, we just thought it fitting for Wonwoo to also be part of the same army Seungcheol was a general of. Somebody else to be in-command aside from Seungcheol, and somebody else with great weapon and combat skills
Wonwoo is sharp and attentive. Even if he canât see as far as the other members of the group, he has a good ear and observation. If anybody knows signs of zombies nearby, itâs Wonwoo
Ngl, I think we just chose this because heâs super good with videogames and has an authoritative energy to him
Woozi:
Woozi is the third and final soldier who served with Wonwoo and Seungcheol
He saw a lot of the shit going on with Seungcheol, and he hated the way everything was turning out as well
Woozi is a more silent commander of the group. He interjects when needed, but with one strict look, heâll have anybody listening
Heâs also very stealthy and logical. He usually is good with scoping out dangerous areas before even entering an environment. Heâs also able to tell how recently things have been touched/disturbed. By a person or a zombie
Woozi is a very observant and analytical person, so this archetype makes a lot of sense in my eyes
Mingyu:
Mingyu is the fighter of the group outside of the soldiers
Heâs tall, strong, skilled, and fast. He had a normal job before everything got messy, but he had a lot of hobbies like working out, practicing combat for fun or going to a shooting range
He also learned quite a few things from Wonwoo, so he almost has some form of military training
I also feel like this one just⌠makes sense for Mingyu
DK:
Now, DK does try to stay positive through this whole thing, but he is one of the characters that sort of lost their spirit after the whole apocalypse thing happened (you guys will see why in due time)
However, he does primarily help to fight off zombies with a metal bat. He did often play baseball in his free time when he wasnât working before everything happened
He does his best to support everybody else, but he finds it really hard to stay positive
The only thing I can say is his character in this au is gonna make me cryyyyyy
Minghao:
Minghao is probably the wisest one of the group
He observes, researches, and tries to figure out if thereâs a specific pattern to the zombiesâ behaviour that they can work around and possibly use to their advantage
He often stays up late with Dino, scheming and jotting down observations from the day that he may have not had time to write down earlier
Ngl, a lot of these characters are just really self-explanatory đ
Seungkwan:
Seungkwan is definitely one of the more openly scared members of the group
He doesnât let that deter him from tasks at hand, but if you were to find any of them staying up because they couldnât sleep out of fear, it would be Seungkwan
He often gravitates to Vernon to offer comfort and distraction
Seungkwan also is very good with aiding injuries. Even if some make him squeamish, he will tend to injuries or any sickness present in his group members
Vernon:
Vernon is the member of the group whoâs also cool, calculated, but clearly very tired. He does his best to observe and contribute to plans, or to train to fight harder, but a lot of these situation wears on him heavily
Like how Seungkwan leans on him, he also finds comfort in distracting Seungkwan and in Seungkwanâs presence
He misses home a lot, but thatâs what makes him more determined to help lead the group to safety
Pls Vernon in this fic may make me cry as well, and Iâm 1 out of the 2 ppl writing this shit
Dino:
Dino is the keeper of everything that happens
He writes and writes in an old journal of his. He dates everything, gives updates, writes behaviour logs, anything you could think of. Anything he thinks may be useful if anybody else found the journal, heâs writing.
Works a lot with Minghao and Vernon to jot things down
Has a very father/son behaviour with Seungcheol. Seungcheol would protect the kid with his life, and in such a dire situation, he is
noah and I still have a lot to plan, we havenât even settled on a good title yet, but we do have plans on what to already write and weâve created a playlist
if youâre wondering how this au will be⌠letâs just say noah and i were both crying the first day we planned a lot of shit

i think even though they arenât the best-looking, it shows a more down-to-earth side of him, you know? he doesnât feel like he needs to wear the most expensive or stylish things to be comfortable and happy. he wears what he likes and what he finds comfortable

Heâs always hugging you, kissing your cheek, stealing kisses off your lips, playing with your hair. Think of how he is with the members, but amp it up by about 10 times
Seeing you steal his clothes, even styling yourself with the contents of his closet always makes his heart flutter. How it makes your masculine features shine, even if itâs the most simple article of clothing, sends him into overdrive
If you were up to it, this man would take you to the gym just to see your muscles work. Half of it being admiration, the other half of it simply being eye candy for him. Because how did he end up with such a cool but hot boyfriend?? He can never wrap his head around that fact ever

He shows certain affections in different settings. In terms of PDA, heâll be fine with a handhold, maybe a small peck on the cheek or a small hug, but nothing extravagant
In his studio or when you two are at home. Heâs a cuddle bug
If heâs in his studio working, heâll always turn back to check on you periodically. If he decides he needs a break, heâll go to your side and just lie all of his weight on you with a tired groan
If you two are lying in bed, heâs clung to you like a koala. Holding you close to his chest and pressed up to the rest of his body with his face buried somewhere in your body. Wherever he can reach. Just to smell your scent, feel your warmth, and hug you like youâre a giant teddy bear.
