You may have seen this video floating around already but I want to share it here in case anyone needs a pick-me-up tonight or later. Rain frogs are soft and round and pure of heart, they’re pretty high up on my “dream frogs” list.

Her story: Nova, as a young gecko had an irresponsible owner. He put her light IN, yes inside, her cage. Thinking that this was a wonderful big ball of warmth, nova climbed into the dome of the light and she was pinned there between the lightbulb and the dome. The lightbulb badly burned nova. It burned her tail and eventually she dropped it. It burned the crests from her head and back. It took 70 dollars worth of medication to save this baby but my friend (owner of a local reptile rescue) saved Nova. I volunteered with the rescue and held nova and fell in love. In so much love that I traded one of my other geckos for her. She looks weird but in my mind he’s beautiful and she also looks like a rotten banana

This is Novas full body, these show her burns and how her back had been burned. When she fires up areas around her scars turn bright red/orange as of highlighting her scars. It makes her beautiful.
