Hi! Right now I’m really hooked on reading the complete poetry of Idea Vilariño. I’m reading it in Spanish because I don’t know if it’s been translated into English. It’s perfect if you’re interested in heartbreak poetry.

Speaking from my own experience: listening to poetry on YouTube helped me a lot at first because it made it easier to connect with what the poems were expressing. When I felt more ready, I started reading them on my own. I also think it’s important to read this kind of poetry when you’re in a good emotional place, because many of these women wrote from very hard experiences, and you can really feel it.

Right now I’m reading Little Women, and once I finish it I want to start The Virgin Suicides.
