Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working on a visual guide that shows you all of the semi-transparent apparel pieces (+ some extras) that you can overlay to create a change in the apparel’s color, as well as their combinations, for when you need a dragon’s apparel to match the colors juuuust right. Here’s a few of my favorites. :3

Some sketches for my nature clan’s home and some lore ramblings

#1: They all live in a huge cage-like structure grown from many trees braided together. The clan founders spent the entirety of their lives growing the trees into it’s current shape. An arboretum guild is dedicated to keeping the trees healthy and trimmed to shape.

#2: At the top of the cage is The First Fruit, grown from the tangle of trees. Several guardians perch atop the cage to ensure the fruit is never picked as it’s become a symbol of their home and hard work. The smaller fruits grown from the interior tree, however, are welcome to harvest. Talented artisans use these bioluminescent fruits to craft the many glass light orbs scattered around the area.

#3: The Naming Tree was grown from the center of the cage and reaches up to it’s peak. Each individual from the founding days onward has carved their name into it’s bark upon adulthood or initiation to the clan. A talented mage then seals the name so it may never fade away. The current leader and their family has the privilege of living in a lodge nestled at the top of the tree, which may be accessed by flying or a small wooden elevator.  

The secret is not widely known outside of certain Exalted circles, but the most famous demigod in Sornieth is the Mirror named Joxar. He is the son of the Windsinger, and although his early history is unknown, these days he uses his divinely powerful talents to appear every month and spread the joy of elemental festivals. How else, surprisingly accurate conspiracy theorists argue, could he produce the endless quantity of apparel every month? And why does a lowly Mirror have such connection to the gods to bring to the masses their entourage, their eyes, their acolytes, their… attack bears? 

In the modern era, the existence of sons and daughters of the deities is mostly dismissed as a fairy tale, or at worst condemned as blasphemy, but the few who have gotten it right have learned a little. The Windsinger has the most mortal children – it’s just in his nature to enjoy companionship, god or not – but there are stories of demigod children of all the deities, even the melancholic Earthshaker and the distracted Arcanist. Other stories will claim that only some of the gods care to have such relations, although every god is known to don the appearance of a mortal and spend time with them. The Windsinger does it so regularly, in legend and stories of personal experience, that denying hospitality to a wind-eyed visitor is seen as horribly unlucky. But there are tales of the Flamecaller appearing in the midst of battle as an armored dragon with a blazing sword, the Lightweaver leading the applause from the back row of a lecture hall, the Tidelord wandering back alleys whispering prophecies. The constant influence of a god like the Stormcatcher does not seem to inspire as many tales, although by all reliable accounts he’s been infiltrating laboratories and workshops as a distinctly brilliant and notoriously impatient coworker or overseer and guiding the development of technology since the very beginning. 

What's all this then?

The aim of this project is to make use of every single food item in flight rising, minus the first anniversary cakes and the micro-holiday foods, to create regional cookbooks and culinary traditions for each flight. Phew, that's a long sentence. A lot of work has been going on behind the scenes, but I think I'm ready to throw open the doors to the general public of the FR community! :D

Interestingly, at one point someone tried to input the ID into the scrying workshop. It only worked in “Foresee Progeny” and it brought up this result: 

An appropriately glitchy looking dragon. However, attempting this now only brings up a broken image. 

On November 12, 2014, a bug resulted in the Announcements forum being accessible to new posts by users. 

This resulted in surprisingly good-natured chaos. 

It was cleaned up pretty quickly and Account Warnings were sent out to everyone who took advantage of the chance to be on the front page.
