Autumn is coming.

Autumn has come. It is time to drive the boat to the dock and get it out of water for the coming winter.

In the archipelago there are spruces which grow horizontally, not vertically as they usually do.

People used to have cattle in the archipelago, even small farms. Islands were often unsuitable for farming but they were used as pastureland. Many islands carry a name such as 'cow island' or 'horse island'. Making a fence around a pasture was not always easy. On rocky ground you had to use stones to hold the stakes up. In the picture about you can see such 'stake stones' and even make out the old rosted barbwire.
