I’m no reviewer, or critic in this anon account (edit: wait a minute, I am *looks back at my analysis about cruel king and block tales i done over the summer*) but damn, this game is so well made that I HAVE to write this. If you don’t understand Let Him Go’s endings, that’s okay because that’s why I wrote this!

There will be dark topics mentioned.

The game starts off with the character we play: Broken Spawn. Whom recently lost his best friend, Fire Ring. He struggle with losing his bestie, missing him and thinking about Ring a lot (which is understandable because who wouldn’t miss their bestie after a breakup?)

Now, Broken Spawn could be anyone: you, me, etc, either losing a friend, or loved one (no matter who it is) so I’m pretty sure most of us relate to him, if not then understand him.

In the ending: ‘I could not…’ is the results of someone could not hold the grief of losing a loved one, and in the end, they start to lose themselves, or stuck in the past. This what actually happens in real life. For an example, someone lost an important figure in their life and spiraled into depression, drug intake, or ways to indulge themselves away from the misery of losing their loved one. So, this ending shows Broken Spawn can’t let go of Fire Ring, because it’s painful to turn away and walk forward (because the many good memories they had with each other this also can be linked in real life too), thus, leading Broken Spawn to die from a car accident.

In the other ending: ‘Goodbye…’ Broken Spawn met Non Texture, who helps him in his nightmares, and makes Broke Spawn move forward without Fire Ring. Non Texture (its role), in real life, could be a supportive figure in your/my/anyone’s life as Non Texture could be a maternal figure, sibling, friend, teacher, therapist, or anyone in general that supports the person who lost a loved one. Non Texture helped Broken Spawn to let go of Fire Ring, and in the end, no one got hurt. At the beginning, it did hurt because Broken Spawn missed him so badly, and the memories they shared together, but after letting Fire Ring go, he felt relieved it’s over because the nightmares is not real, and most importantly he accepted and move on. I love the detail where the picture frame of Broken Spawn and Fire Ring is gone which implies that Broken Spawn really did let go of him. It’s a healthy way to go forward into the future. Okay, now take this example to real life: after someone is in depression, or any indulgence to get away from their pain, they managed to find help from a therapist, or program to recover and heal, or with a supportive figure that keep them on their feet. As time go on, they become better with the help of their supportive figure(s) but also I think learning to accept and move on.

I like to apply Broken Spawn’s character in real life as someone is trying to move on from a deceased loved one, family, or serious events that happened in their life (not just losing a friend).

This game tells you about moving on from something or someone healthily without hurting yourself, or anyone involved which I find beautiful and marvelous. I don’t know if the devs intentionally made the meaning behind this game, but it feels intentional at least to me. I just played it in JUST one day and I’m already loving this game. I tried my best to explain Let Him Go’s story theme and I’m sorry the way I phrase words is weird to grasp and understand in some parts I’m trying to tell. To wrap this up, here’s some Spawn fan art. •diva!reader either chewing gum, or sucking a (candy) sucker. Also carrying a pack of gum, or suckers too. I imagine them carrying around a makeup kit (makeup is optional.), or deodorant, body mist, a filer (to file and smooth out their horns), and basically body care products to look, feel, and smell good.

•and I’m not surprised if diva!reader offered gum to Subspace and told him that his breath stink unwiped booty cheeks.

•99.99% chance that diva!reader is going to diss Subspace so hard.

•okay, if diva!reader is like a phighter, it’s maybe half of the phighters don’t like them while the other half feels neutral but share some moments of dislike. Also diva!reader would slay in the battlefield (fashion-wise) and attempted to outshine Scythe way too many times. I think they may be a sore loser too.

•if diva!reader’s faction is Blackrock then they’re going to dress up all y3k or futuristic-like to fit the aesthetic of Blackrock’s advanced technology. If diva!reader’s faction is Playground, probably street-style. If diva!reader’s faction is Lost Temple their outfit is going to be handmade FASHIONABLY (I mean Lost Temple is a desert so, what else is there?). If diva!reader’s faction is Thieves’ Den they gonna go crazy with the kimonos with bold colors, extravagant makeup (optional), hairpins (optional), maybe something floral too. But overall, diva!reader fw all fashion (faction or no faction).

•if diva!reader is going to talk shit about which deity.. it’s going to be the deity with the least amount of style and fashion. Sorry, Illumina. All he got on is a plain, boring, white toga on, according to diva!reader. Sorry, Illumina fans 💔

•I definitely think diva!reader would have social media, and maybe popular too. But their ass is getting dragged in social media a lot, or sometimes. Depends. But I definitely think most of their posts consist with selfies, flexing off their clothes and doing exaggerated poses in photos here and there.

•If diva!reader meets Mx. Pwnatious, I honestly think they heard of them, but diva!reader keeps forgetting who they are and they just say, ‘who tf are you’ or ‘I’ve never HEARD of you before blud’ to Mx. Pwnatious. Alas, diva!reader is going to diss them too.
