"Why do I feel like I am going to regret this?" Puss mumbled to himself. In all honesty, it wasn't that he didn't want to help Goldi. After all, they are friends. He just found it hard to believe that after everything they've been through, Goldi still had something like this up her sleeve. "Okay. Fine. Tell me what it is."

"Okay, okay! Listen to this: A mountain of treasure, all ours for the taking! Right? You just gotta help us get past one... itty bitty, little obstacle..."

There was a reason she was procrastinating getting to the point... "The treasure is... guarded by a giant," ...and there it was.

It was a tall ask. But stealth wasn't Goldi's strong suit, and no way in Hell was she tough enough to take down a giant. Even for all her boldness, she knew her limits. A swift little feline, though, might just be quick and clever enough to distract and outrun said giant. ...Right? All while her family swept in and then made it out with their reward.

That was as much of a plan as she'd had, so far, at least.

To her credit, it might have been worse for him with rougher hands, but her soft paws aided in a certain gentleness with the dressing of the wound.

"There," she announced, finally taking her paws off him after wrapping the last of the bandage over his wound.

"Now, will you tell me the next time you plan on getting into so much trouble? You had me missing out on the fun!" Her sarcastic remark masked her worry, for she was worried about him putting himself in dangerous situations now that he was down to his last life. She knew how he loved to be so bold, though...
