I don't even know where to start
Any person who has ever been a fan of a book, a comic, a series or a movie will understand how much a 'made up' character can mean to you. They represent our fears, our hopes, our flaws, our struggles, our wishes and so much more. They represent the person we were, the person we are and the person we hope to be one day, maybe. Sometimes they just exist to make us laugh and sometimes to make us cry. They can portray your failures or your successes. They can be your polar opposite, but you might still feel some sort of connection. Not in all layers of the character, but in some, which makes us realize, that there is always more to a person then we think.
These characters may not exist in real life, but they exist in our fantasy, which, in my opinion, makes them even more important. They make us believe in the impossible, they give us the opportunity to think outside the box and live lives we couldn't even dream about before. They help us through difficulties and let us grow as a person.Â
I honestly don't know if any of this makes sense, but I don’t know how to explain it otherwise.
What I want to say, is Thank you.
Thank you to every author, illustrator, poet, director, creator and any other creative person.
Your creativity is a gift for this world and we cannot have enough special minds, who see their city, their country, their planet or their universe in a different way. Be creative. The sky is not the limit. There is no limit. Don’t be afraid of failing. Don’t be afraid of overstepping any boundaries. Don’t be afraid of other persons opinion. Try new things. Let your mind chase the stars. Create worlds and universes.Â
