By the laws of nature I should be dead.

But I’m also here for people dealing with burnout.

I’m here for the people who don’t want to bleed for meals, who don’t want to be a ‘cyborg’ because of a pump or a ‘dia-badass’. I’m here for the people who are scared of going to the doctors because they don’t want to face their numbers.

I’m here for the people who are just so, so tired of dealing with themselves, but just keep going because they have too. I am so fucking proud of you. I am so, incredibly proud of you.

It’s okay to not be okay with how your body works. I promise it really is okay. This isn’t fun, it’s draining as all hell and it’s okay to admit that.

It sucks sometimes to have positivity shoved down your throat and going through the diabetes tags on tumblr can be a lot like that.

*when i feel like drinking* me: don’t tell me what i can and can’t do. don’t judge me, you don’t know anything about my disease. it’s dangerous? ~eye roll~ please. watch me drunk eat a cookie too. hell, maybe some pizza. i’d rather live my life on my terms than let this disease control me
