The once victims of the apocalypse became its incarnates
I have started a new story with Gelebor right here. So far there's only the first chapter, but I hope to write one or two more. So far it describes the dark, immediate fallout of Vyrthur's death and how Gelebor tries to put his brother to rest. It will have a /female Reader ship in the next chapter(s), and most probably smut...
Here are some snippets:
Finally, he took a comb and carefully worked through Vyrthurβs hair, untangling the knots with a tenderness that belied the weight of the moment. As he smoothed the strands, A fleeting wish crossed his mind β that his hair were longer, like it had been in the past when he would sporadically grow it out, he could braid his brotherβs one last time, a final gesture of kinship and care. The thought lingered, bittersweet, as he completed his task, preparing Vyrthur for the rites that would soon carry him to his rest.
~~
The amber glow was hauntingly familiar, a cruel reminder of the fiery intensity that had once burned in Vyrthurβs eyesβa fire that had ultimately consumed him, just as the doctrines of their faith decreed that heretics should be punished. In that moment, Gelebor could not help but see the bitter irony: the brother he had loved, the brother he had failed, now reduced to ash by a ritual that mirrored the very judgment he had sought to escape.

hi, just wanted to remind you that i love the way you write. it's amazing!!!!
if anything, i didn't want to burden you with this message, but i feel like i want to selfishly write this to you with a little whining about how i feel like a stalker. because i, despite the fact that when updates come out to my favorite works, i see it in my mail, it still doesn't stop me from going to your personal fanfic profile in the morning and evening and seeing the continuationβ¦
i apologize in advance if i caused you inconvenience with my message
Oh, Auri-El save me! I'm truly moved by your message! I might have teared up a bit. I have returned with a start of a new story for our little Knight-Paladin and, of course, hope to post another chapter of the headcanons in the near future!
Thank you so much for... all of this! I'm truly grateful and honored to have sparkled so much passion here. If you ever would like to request a prompt for a headcanon, or a little story, or anything else for the lovely Snow Elf, I will try my best to meet the expectations!
I'm sorry, words have failed me, for I cannot express how much I adore your message. Once again, you have my gratitude and love! π€π€π€π€π€
"Brother Prelate, mayhaps my ears betray me, but I believe I heard a cry just beyond this rock..."
How I imagine the Snow Elf brothers were discovered before being 'adopted' by the Chantry members. Itβs a rough sketch β I am not entirely satisfied with it, but I liked it enough to capture (mostly because of infant Geleborβs ducktail/onion-like hairstyle), before the paper visits the Daedric plane of my drawer. I used some stock images as references for the children.
"Even in a world of quietness, there is beauty β for a single note may echo forever."
Gelebor and his lady friend (who is steadily becoming her own characterβ¦) are cosplaying as Sunday from "Honkai Star Rail" and Jinhsi from "Wuthering Waves" β the ultimate Imaginary/Spectro duo! Their outfits are slightly simplified, with a few little Snow Elven trinkets added for a personal touch. Drawn in more of an anime style on paper and later cropped to one of the games' landscapes.
III. part of "The Knight-Paladin Alphabet Headcanons"
I am continuing the creations of headcanons for the Knight-Paladin Gelebor right there. Warning, there will be NSFW ones too, though way later (they aren't there yet). There are some mentions of self-harm and abuse right now, though.
Here are 2 letters from the third chapter:
B β Bond βΒ Do they balance friendship and romance or do they forsake one aspect of the relationship for the other?
Given the solitude of his situation, it is all but ineluctable that his romantic partner would also become his closest companion and confidant. This would not distress him in the least, for the friendship they share would, in truth, be one of the very foundations upon which any deeper affection would take root within his heart. Thus, he would tend to both facets of their bond, seeing them as inseparable and intertwined. Should his partner, however, choose to sever or distance one aspect of their relationship, he would find himself puzzled. Without the comfort of their friendship, he would feel an insurmountable need to withdraw, unable to lay his heart bare. Likewise, should his lover (wholly averse to romantic gestures β not simply shy, nor first expecting him to earn such expressions) seek to remove the romantic element from their union, he would find it difficult to grasp the appeal of such a relationship, and would, in turn, propose to redefine the very nature of their bond.
J β Jealousy βΒ Are they jealous? How do they handle it?
Though typically reserved and composed, Gelebor is not immune to jealousy. It manifests subtly, for it is no easy feat to provoke such feelings, but should his beloved grow overly familiar with another, a gnawing unease would begin to stir within him. Confrontation is far from his nature; he would never interrupt or curtail the interaction directly. Instead, he would remain rooted in his place, watchful yet silent β his gaze intently fixed upon the hands and faces of those involved. He would scrutinize every nuance, searching for the faintest sign of discomfort or unease, ever prepared to intervene and shield his beloved if needed.
Should his partner lavish another with excessive affection, Geleborβs reaction would be more poignant than pointed. Later, after the event has transpired, he would gravitate toward them, his expression submissively tender, his luminous eyes betraying a quiet yearning. No words would fall from his lips, but his need for reassurance would be unmistakable, conveyed with a soft vulnerability that speaks louder than words.

"Days that stretch into infinity, coupled with an isolating sense of purposelessness, can make existence feel surreal β like a simulation, perhaps."
A few screenshots of my simplified recreation of the Knight-Paladin in The Sims 3.
Bonus screenshot with a Snow Elf lady friend, I tried to pose them in some meaningful way but instead he did this goofy salute. At least he won't isn't alone now.
"The darkness is the void left by lack of Auri-El's grace β a perilous absence that, in this place, proves quite literally fatal."
My imagining of the last Snow Elf transported into the Constant, the world of the game "Don't Starve". His racial resistance to freezing would be so useful in winter, I would be able to leave my base without worries.
Endless time without hope is nothing short of torment
I've posted a smut two chapter piece. It's complete, no need to wait for more. If you read it before (the first part was up for like a day or two) - it has been revisited and touched upon, providing a way better experience, so I'd say it's worth to check it out again. The story has a male on male action and stars a cis male Bosmer Dragonborn. Here are some snippets:
"Dragonborn," he greeted, inclining his head with quiet reverence. "I did not foresee your return. What brings you once more to Auri-Elβs Chantry?"
He beheld the familiar, weary smile gracing the Bosmerβs cheeks, and an unexpected sense of kinship stirred within him, perhaps even a gentle solace. The mortal had extended to him an unexpected kindness, and though Gelebor had scarcely recognized its significance in that ephemeral moment, their brief communion had alleviated, if only momentarily, the oppressive burden of his solitude. He had all but forgotten the profound comfort of conversing with another soul who, even if merely in fragment, comprehended his plight.
"I trust your travels have beenβ¦ eventful?" he added, his gaze taking in the Dragonbornβs worn yet resolute frame, noting the subtle scars of battles faced and conquered.
____________
"I've noticed they like to rest by the running water of the Dwemeri fountains." He said after a moment. It follows logically, there's an undisputed practicality to this habit.
"They probably prefer to hear a soft but constant noise for easier echolocation." The Knight-Paladin pointed out.
"It may be so, but... the way they seem so serene listening to the streams reminds me of the hydro rituals the Chantry has. Maybe there is a link."
Geleborβs gaze softened, his eyes drifting to a distant stream winding its way through the icy landscape of the Vale. The Bosmerβs observation lingered in his mind, touching upon the sacred rites once woven deeply into the spiritual practices of his people. Water, flowing and eternal, had always been a symbol of purity and life in the Chantry. It had been more than a simple element; it was a conduit to Auri-El, a reminder of his radiance flowing endlessly over them.
II. part of "The Knight-Paladin Alphabet Headcanons"
I am still creating headcanons for the Knight-Paladin Gelebor right here.
Warning, there will be NSFW ones too, though way later (they aren't there yet). There are some mentions of self-harm right now, though.
Here are 2 letters from the second chapter:
O β Office β What is their job, what duties they have, what privileges and licenses they have?
Each Paladin must be ordained with the most basic holy orders, allowing them to officiate wedding ceremonies and conduct funeral services. The head of the Chantryβs Paladins is permitted to bless mer, men and beastfolk without an occasion and celebrate Mass, though Knight-Paladins only perform these sacraments if no other priest of Auri-El is available, particularly during missions with other Paladins away from the operating sanctuary. Members of the security branch of the Chantry of Auri-El are not required to take oaths of celibacy, but the sacred atmosphere of the temple strongly encourages everyone to abstain from sexual relationships. The absence of villages in the immediate vicinity prevents the Paladins from meeting potential partners to settle down with. Consequently, when it is time for their retirement, they often choose to assume the role of a priest and officially take a vow of chastity.
His duties as a Knight-Paladin are simple at their core: he is required to patrol the sacred grounds, defend the holy site from encroachment and defilement, and assist stationing Prelates if needed. When the Forgotten Vale was ultimately cut off from the outside world during the conflict with the Atmorans, the Paladins were expected to hunt game for the Chantry.
He managed a small group of Paladins, ten mer, most of them younger than he. He supervised their training sessions and was responsible for maintaining their discipline. He was chosen by the previous Knight-Paladin just before his retirement as the most suited and devoted warrior, and he accepted the trial that led to his final promotion. He cherishes the memory of the toast raised in his honor by his fellow Paladins, cleric friends, and his brother when they commemorated his successful completion of the exams β one on the study of their faith and the other on the art of combat.
Q β Quirkiness β What are some eccentric little habits they have?
When alone, Gelebor has a habit of quietly singing hymns dedicated to Auri-El or gentle melodies, sometimes even without realizing it. His voice is soft and reverent, and it helps him maintain his spiritual connection during his long hours of solitude.
In moments of restlessness, he compulsively tidies up his surroundings, even if his camp or the Chantry just has been cleaned. Should he share a living space with a companion who happens to be a bit disorganized, he would quietly take it upon himself to tidy up after them, as long as their messiness remains within reason.
He tends to monologue in his head, creating rich descriptions, observations and recollections. This habit not only helps him stave off boredom but also ensures he maintains his fluency and elegance in both Falmeris and the Common Tongue, despite the scarcity of new books to read.

I. part of "The Knight-Paladin Alphabet Headcanons"
I am creating headcanons for the Knight-Paladin Gelebor right here.
Warning, there will be NSFW ones too, though way later (they aren't there yet).
Here are a 2 letters from the first chapter:
G β Grief β How do they process grief?
It is said that Auri-El could do naught but teach the Elvenfolk to suffer with dignity.
This paraphrase might not completely fall in line with the Falmer doctrines of faith, but the theme of being ennobled by martyrdom is common, starting with the very initiation to enlightenment undertaken in the pilgrimages to the Chantry of Auri-El.
True to his beloved culture, perhaps even influenced by it, he tends to mourn quietly. The Knight-Paladin seldom weeps openly. He harbors no desire for pity, for he believes a guardian ought to remain silent about his own sorrows. To impose his emotions upon another strikes him not only as inappropriate but profoundly selfish.
Therefore, he does not showcase the level of hurt he's under β a subtle display of melancholy at most. To be exact, he refrains from presenting strong emotions whatsoever, whether they're positive, negative or ambivalent.
K β Knowledge β Do they like learning new things? Do they possess any piece of wisdom unknown to others, or is perhaps forbidden?
Needless to say, he possesses boundless knowledge of the old ways and Nirn from the dawn of the First Era, which would prove a miraculous source of information for today's scholars but probably not to anyone else. He is willing to share everything about the functioning of the Snow Elven Empire, Falmeri Pantheon, Falmerethβs traditions and convenances. He doesnβt necessarily have any forbidden knowledge, he has always strayed far from all wicked branches of magic (unlike him β¦).
He loves learning new things, always intently listening to any intel from adventurers if they would ever want to share a piece of their wisdom with him. The few books he took with him to the Darkfall Cave he reread countless times and on rare occasions a soul would graze him with new information about the outside world. Bit by bit, he learned of the change of the end of Atmoransβ active slaughtering of the Snow Elves, Chimer to Dunmer transformation, the disappearance of the Dwemer, the Oblivion crisisβ¦Β
If the Dragonborn would allow him so, he would politely inquire about all interesting questions that would pop in his mind on a guard for centuries. To be frank, any new information would be fascinating to him. Socioeconomic news, geopolitical landscape, developments in technology, or something about culture and arts β all he will lap up with utmost attention.
There are, of course, certain facts he is better off without being aware of. He certainly would fare far more peacefully without being notified about the existence of such pieces of art like βThe Slaying of the Falmer Princesβ or βConquest of the Falmerβ... Only Auri-El knows how the stoic Knight-Paladin might react to those obscene literary works.
Lord, help him if he discovers Brynjolfβs gig as a salesman.
I wrote a smut fic on AO3 with the pairing Gelebor/Female Nord (it's basically a Reader-insert) and I'm sharing some snippets here
ββ¦how doβ¦ you know Falmeris?β he couldn't help but inquire, his curiosity piqued by this unexpected revelation. Her cheeks flushed with embarrassment, her earlier confidence waning.
"I'm sorry, I don't actually know it. Just memorized some words." as he regarded her with a puzzled expression once more, she elaborated on her encounters with scholars who endeavored to compile a dictionary containing the remnants of ancient Falmer preserved in scrolls and ancient texts.
ββ¦So you just memorized it?β he exclaimed in disbelief. The language of his ancestors had vanished millennia ago. It was a peculiar twist of fate to encounter someone who possessed even a fragmentary knowledge of it.
She regards him with a lingering gaze, and he finds himself ensnared in the depths of her eyes. How long has it been since he last beheld such warmth and invitation in another's gaze?
~~~~~~
"My lady," he addresses her, his voice deep and resonant, though tinged with a subtle vulnerability that belies his usual composure. "I must admit... I haven't had much company in a long while." Gelebor meets her gaze, his eyes betraying a profound yearning, silently pleading for companionship. "Would you... would you care to stay a while longer?" he asks, his voice barely above a whisper, soft and laced with uncertainty. Navigating this unfamiliar terrain proves daunting, yet he is willing to venture forth. For the first time in millennia, he permits himself the indulgence of susceptibility, of allowing someone into his solitary existence. [...]
Caught off guard, Gelebor's eyes widen as the Nord woman draws near, her soft lips meeting his own. A surge of warmth emanates from the point of contact, spreading through his body like wildfire. His heart quickens its pace within his chest, the rhythm resounding in his ears as time seems to momentarily halt.
