Yeah, pretty regularly. Every few days, once a week at least. I’m an only child, so they keep good track of me. Yeah, I’ve always appreciated the events, even if not every one is everyone’s cup of tea. They try to mix it up. Without them, even a tropical paradise would get pretty boring after a bit.

Okay, I get that she’s your mom so this is easier said than done, but it’s time to stop talking to her. I don’t mean just today. I mean it’s time for her to recognize that you’re an adult who can make your own choices, and until she does she doesn’t get to be a real part of your life. I know that’s a hard thing to do, I can’t imagine trying to cut my moms out of my life again but it’s the only way to make her understand that you’re not a marionette.

The words ‘It’s ok’ were right on the tip of his tongue, but he knew they would do little or nothing for Brandon. He couldn’t accept that it was ok to raise his voice. Not now, maybe never. He hoped that wasn’t true, but it could be and if Jamie was going to be with Brandon than he needed to adapt and be what the submissive needed. For both of their sakes. “I understand that you you are frustrated and therefore readily accept your apology. Unless you feel it is necessary, I think we can forego any punishment.” He hated that Brandon had moved away, but for the moment allowed the boy the space he needed. “I feel as though I am partially responsible for your frustration. I haven’t always been honest with you about how I am feeling and it was wrong of me both to hide the truth from you and to assume you wouldn’t now it regardless. He took another breath, and slow seconds passed. “I don’t want to be a burden,” he said finally, his voice small and quiet. “I know that you’re prepared to take on any burden I present, but... Don’t you have enough obstacles in your life as it is? I’m not.. I’m not trying to leave, or convince you to leave, Sir. I just don’t think it’s fair.”

Jamie knew that Brandon felt that all of this made him weaker; less then. He wanted so badly to communicate that it was not merely patience or kindness that caused Jamie to as he put it ‘deal with this’. “It’s nothing so altruistic Dearest,” Jamie began mid thought. “I do not simply tolerate you. I love you. I love all of you. Your strengths, your struggles, your beauty, your compassion… I love it all every molecule of you you. And yes, I want you to get better so that you can be happier in yourself, but if this is as far as recovery ever takes you, I will love you no less. I know you think it takes effort on my part to ‘deal’ with you, but it doesn’t. I hurt because you hurt, but know that I take that hurt gladly. Just as you would for me.” He knew he was talking too much, knew that he often overwhelmed his submissive with words so he took a deep breath and grounded himself in his physical connection with Brandon. He needed let Brandon just be and just take comfort in that physical connection.

He cut himself off, sitting up and pulling away from Jamie a little. He didn’t go far, he was still touching the Dominant, but he lifted his head up, shaking it. “I’m sorry, Sir, I didn’t mean to snap at you.”
