As usual, Shook’s instrumental only intend to serve the vocal part in order to create a complete track, smooth and funky. We greatly appreciate the sweet bass line and the wandering of the melody carrying the vocals throughout the track. It’s an absolute delight. We can only admire Shook’s ability to reinvent a track from a smooth and funky point of view as well as his ability to reinvent his art as we never grow tired of his remixes.

FREnchfire - Believe feat ILLchill

The originality of Sir Deckster’s work lies in his ability to create profound atmospheres highly charged with emotion. But if he had got us used to smooth intros gradually setting the ambiance, this remix starts rather boldly. For this song, Sir Deckster chose to captivate us instantly rather than slowly charming us. It is only when he has all our attention, that he gently set the atmosphere. The vocals of the original song are beautifully used: paired up with the synth, they make the song sound airy, fluid and effortless. Only the complex percussion arrangement comes to beautifully discurb the peacefulness of this track. We’ll definitely be watching out for Sir Deckster’s EP in September.

Anthony Ellect released his first track since his joining Cadence Collective: While. It is a very fresh and chill song made laid-back by the languorous beat. The synths and the vocals create the subdued-light-candels-and-rose-petals style ambiance. FREE DOWNLOAD.

Nami Swan is yet another occasion for us to appreciate Bwana’s skills. The track gradually gains in intensity and power. The quiet intro appears as a quick preview of what the track holds: the frantic beat and the synth background animated by this brilliant “bleep” sound. The slow tempo allows us to hear how all the elements fall intro places. And as the beat of the percussion speed up, all these elements interweave to form a complex layering of sounds highlighted by the “bleep”. Added to that the voice sample which brings personality to the the instrumental. As the song progresses, the rhythm seems to be becoming more and more pressant  and the vocals more audible, and then the song quiets down to mirror the intro. It all comes to a full circle.
