Save the Treez!

So I’ve had four different asks recently requesting recommendations for kinky blogs to follow - and instead of answering each separately I thought I would do it as one big post. 

There’s quite a few people that I want to recommend and include here, and it’s likely to be a relatively long list, but in my opinion, it’s absolutely worth at least checking out every single one of the below blogs.

Also, I apologise in advance to many of the people listed here because despite a fondness for writing and sharing I’m more often than not a more than slightly awkward introverted dork…which means some people may see this as out of the blue…and I just want to clarify that I promise it’s more “admiration from afar” than “creepy stalker”….I hope…..

*cough* I think the word we’re looking for here is…..anyway….here it goes (in no particular order after Mister’s blog)

The Dominants:

@for-the-love-of-my-pup - My most wonderful Mister, the beautiful and amazing man who owns me. His posts might be a little sporadic and they often make me blush, but he focuses on writing and sharing the different aspects of our relationship whether it’s the good, the bad, the goofy, the silly or the dirty - he is by far my favourite sadist with a heart of gold and I highly recommend him both as a person and a blog. 

@the-quiet-dominant - A man I have a lot of respect and admiration for. On his blog you will find personal posts about the relationship he has with his beautiful slave, Kraska (more on her in a bit!) . He provides good advice without jumping to conclusions or passing judgement when it’s unwarranted. In terms of content you’ll find a wide array of images, gifs and writing on pretty much everything from the softer side of D/s to Hucow training, to pet play, to humiliation and degradation. More amazingly all of these things are balanced and intertwined and don’t ever seem out of place, which is a pretty impressive accomplishment in and of itself. 

@iamyourdom - At times funny, sometimes a little geeky, frequently insightful and thought provoking. It’s hard to quite put the man or his blog into words, so I will let this excerpt from his “About me” section speak on his behalf:

“Many of the posts are of explicit nature. Some are original posts, some reblogs. I post findings, experiences, photos, texts, links, diary entries, my opinions, kinks, my insecurities, my improvements, my failings, and revelations. Some might say it is “too much”, others will say it is boring. Some might say it is too extreme, others too tame. Whatever it is, I try to not filter, and I try to be honest. I don’t aim to show off, I don’t aim to gather a huge following or to “impress people”.This is my personal journey and you are invited to accompany me.”

@consort-of-the-queen - At first it might seem unusual for a Dominant to refer to his submissive as the Queen and himself as the consort, but one look at this mans blog or one conversation with him will leave no doubt in your mind as to why - it’s very clear that he absolutely adores his submissive and puts her above all else (this is actually a recurring theme between all the Dominants I’m recommending). He’s the type of man who will make you laugh out loud and moments later will have said or posted something to make you stop and think.

@finder-of-things - If labels and expectations were Wile E Coyote this mans blog would be the Roadrunner, and I mean that in the absolute best way possible. Cars, comics, animations, art, science and hilarity intertwined with the pensive, thought provoking, educational and insightful D/s posts. By not seeking to impress anybody he manages to have a little something for everybody, and to top it all off he’s just really genuine and nice. 

@lady–divine - A Domme who can do it all, I don’t mean that in a D/s or sexual way (although maybe I should, I don’t really know about that) but I mean it in the way that she’s a writer, musician, mother and Domme. She would have every right to have one of the biggest ego’s around because she’s the type of woman who embodies the concept of “over-achiever” and yet she’s one of the kindest, loving and genuine people you could ever have the pleasure of knowing. Bonus points to follow her if you enjoy fan-fiction, food, literature and quotes.

@lovemysub - As the name suggests, this is a Dominant who is clearly deeply in love with his submissive, and it’s beautiful to see and witness. He writes wonderfully and the advice he gives is designed to guide and educate rather than condemn, and he doesn’t shy away from sharing both his accomplishments and his mistakes in the hopes that others may learn from him and with him. His mantra seems to be less “forgive and forget” and more “forgive and learn” and I cannot express how impressive and, at times, refreshing that is. 

@mistressmg - A wonderful Domme who often shares writings and insights either from her own perspective and relationship dynamics or those written by others. She’s intelligent, pensive and considerate and well worth following. 

@dominantlife - perhaps most well known for putting together the Library for Kinksters (more on that later) this is a man who is intelligent, insightful and educational. It doesn’t matter whether you have years of experience or you’re just starting out, you’re likely to learn something by following him and reading his posts. 

@baroniansmythe - a fantastic man who writes and shares fantastic things. Going to try and keep it short and sweet on this one.

@adamadom - This is a man who will forever have my admiration and respect, as does his wife and submissive. It would be easy to catch glimpses of their relationship now and believe that it’s damn near perfect or that they have everything figured out, but delve a little deeper and you learn that these are two people who chose love, commitment and being true to themselves and each other even during times where doing so may have seemed like the scariest option. They refused to try and force themselves to fit a relationship as it was and so forced their relationship to fit who they were instead - this is a couple who will give you hope and strength just by being able to witness who they are and how they are. 

@dwpreturns - If you haven’t seen writings from Dom With Pen floating around then you’re probably new here. DWP is a wonderful writer who often publishes writings, musings and thoughts that will inspire, educate, arouse and amuse (not usually all at once, but trust me, go have a look!)

The Submissives:

@submissivebluebird - I feel as though the first descriptors here should be Slave and Mother (the upper-case is intentional and meant as a small sign of how much respect I have for her as each of these things). Kraska is one of the kindest, warmest, most insightful and inspiring people you could ever have the good pleasure of knowing and I honestly cannot speak of her highly enough. On her blog you’ll find beautiful writing, images that fluctuate between heart-warming and sexy and downright filthy (in the best possible way). 

@mskittendita - This lovely lady is one of the worlds most truly beautiful souls, and her blog is certainly a reflection of that. She is heart-warming, inspiring and incredibly kind and generous. 

@eien-no-surebu ​ - An absolutely lovely woman who shares everything that she’s passionate about and that speaks to her. 

@givinghedonist - A masochistic, human puppy with, at times, a delightfully dark sense of humour - I mean…what’s not to like? 

@leatherlacedbass - Not only does she post fantastic photos of herself and share her thoughts and opinions on a range of topics, but she’s also incredibly supportive of people within the community and does everything she can to help support and champion others, but also keep the community safe from some of the less desirable people lurking around the place. 

@sirskia - the other half to @adamadom, she is nothing short of inspirational and at times awe-inspiring. A truly wonderful woman with a truly wonderful heart. 

@sinfullycylon - who I just learnt had been unfollowed for some reason (silly Tumblr, I swear this was unintentional) and now wouldn’t tag properly…but she’s truly wonderful. Her blog is a mixture of geekery, kink, feminism, positivity and generally just all good things. 

@missynini - another beautiful, inspiring and warm hearted lady who often shares a mix of posts from the educational, thought-provoking, insightful, funny and beautiful. 

@missharpersworld - She writes beautifully and there is a certain raw honesty behind everything she writes and shares that is deeply moving and touching. The images and posts she reblogs and shares on her page are a reflection of a heart and soul that love and care deeply. There’s also owls….

@fuckmethroughthesheets - a truly wonderful blog filled with the hottest of images and the most heartwarming pieces of advice. 

The couples:

@spicenwolf - An amazing couple who write and share their thoughts and experiences with BDSM and D/s along with occasional quotes, stunning images (props for also being consistently diverse and body positive in terms of types of images/people represented in their posts).

@her-gift-his-honor - Another wonderful couple who provide non-judgemental advice, write beautiful poetry and use captions to express their thoughts desires and wants to both each other and the rest of us as well. 

@sweet-or-unsweet - I cannot believe I missed these two the first time around! they are a truly wonderful couple who are kind, knowledgeable and friendly. 

@brokenandbought - Are perhaps an unusual inclusion in this list because their love for blood-play and knife play means that I don’t actually follow them (as these things are triggering for me) but I do visit their page frequently, either when I’m feeling particularly strong or resilient, or, when I want to practice coping mechanisms and strategies in a safe environment. Which may not sound like a high endorsement but there’s something incredibly special about these two and I strongly recommend following if you’re not put off by some of the heavier images. 

The Resources and collaborations:

The Library for Kinksters by @dominantlife here on Tumblr. It’s an extensive resource centre that covers almost everything from basic tips for the novice right through to rope tutorials and guides.

@sccwriting is a collaboration of writings and prompts by various submissive’s on Tumblr sharing their thoughts, opinions and experiences on a wide array of different topics.

@thedominantprompts is the complimentary blog to @sccwriting except the contributions are mostly made by Dominants rather than submissives.

@bdsm-bloopers - a collection of stories and moments sharing the times that BDSM and D/s go from the sultry sexual fantasy land to the awkward mishaps that can be the reality. 

@toodomforyou - The terrifying and hilarious collection of how not to be a “dominate” as so many pseudo and misguided Doms seem to call Dominants. 

There’s really so many more, and I will probably walk away and suddenly kick myself for missing people, so this may be expanded on and added to over time, but for now, in my view these are some of the best people and blogs you will find around here.
