isn't it fucked that one of the worst symptoms of chronic pain isn't the pain itself, but rather the secondary one of "if you cancel plans because of your chronic pain too many times, people will think you're rude, or even just get tired of asking to hang out"?

and even if you don't cancel out if you show up and show any signs of it you will be thought of as rude or a party pooper at best and stop asking you to hang out anyway
