Before I discovered the seamless knitting technique knitting in the round, I was always knitting sweaters with set-in sleeves.  I tried many types of set-in sleeves knitting patterns until I found this simple pattern to get the best results without much effort. Not my invention, but I am eager to share it with you.Set-in sleeve knitting pattern I found in a Russian book by Margarita Maksimova “Azbuka vyazaniya” (''Knitting ABC'').

I finished the top-down raglan sweater.  I didn't want to use ribbing or other edges that I used before. Instead, I came up with an idea to attach a double stockinette edge. It works great as a substitution for ribbing. It won't stretch and hold shape well. Also, I love the look of it - simply elegant.
