Returning my gaze to his wings, I slowly move my hand to brush along the inside of the outstretched one; finding that my first observation was incorrect. These aren't quite leather. Where the moonlight strikes, I can see faint outlines decorating the folds between the spines; outlines of melted feathers,
and finally my stomach turns, but not in fear. But repulsion of the imagery, of the pure heat that those wings had been through, for the feathers to seemingly have melted like wax and become this.
I tentatively run a finger along one of the more prominent feather outlines.
"This⌠Was when you fell?"
A shallow laugh escapes Lucifer's lips as he shakes his head, blond hair now black falls across his forehead "Bit more of a misguided dive than a fall. Not much to look at, is it?"
Something in his tone, something broken, has me returning my gaze to his.Â
This is the first time I've seen him so vulnerable, and it hurts. I don't know why it does, but it's unbearable.

Been a while. Yâall remember the days of me writing on AO3, spending hours and hours typing out Final Fantasy XV fiction? Well! Thereâs a reason itâs been so quiet over there. For the last year or so I have been working on an original novel, Fallen For Him.
Synposis: Alex Foxton has a promising upcoming career in art, specifically art revolving around biblical studies. Enrolling in a prestigious art academy, heâs ready to put his head down and get his degree. Thereâs just one problem. His roommate is the Devil.
This novel is very much a hate into love kind of deal, with plenty of angst and tender moments. I havenât decided how NSFW to go yet, so weâll see.
