This sums up exactly what is wrong with our country
All over the internet we saw people come together at these protests, regardless of religion etc. In fact, there were people clad in religious clothing, hindus, muslims and Sikhs, and all anyone cared about was helping each other out. Passing on food, hand fans and other commodities.
This protest was never ONCE about any religion. Where this person is getting their facts from, idk. Of course, traditional media and right wing influencers have been pushing this agenda, but it doesn't take much to find ground reports by independent journalists, reels by people who were there.
"If you abuse my Gods and my dharma" where? WHERE?
"I do not care about your marks, future, career or the fact that you are beaten black and blue." This sentence blew my mind. How can someone be so blinded by hatred? How is the suffering of a person in front of you not affecting you on a human level? How are you this numb? Isn't humanity the core belief of every religion?
I am a Hindu, i have grown up in a religious household. I take comfort in my faith. I do not expect my religion and beliefs to work the same way for everyone else as they do for me. One's relationship (or lack thereof) with God is a very personal affair.
I don't think my God needs me to protect Him from anyone. I don't have that big of an ego. But what my scriptures do tell me to do is Be A Good Person. Be kind, and generous, and empathetic. Respect other people. Don't cause anyone harm. Do good deeds. Apna achha karm kro, phal ki chinta mat kro.

Tell me you don't understand the core values of ur religion (that you are apparently so proud of) without telling me.
