RECAP ::: So yesterday I did a closet PURGE. Well not that type of purge lol I took my clothing to a resale shop of curated menโs and womenโs clothing and accessories called @buffaloExchange much like @AvalonExchange back home.
I ended up getting $95 trade-in or $55 cash-out value for my pieces that they wanted. I went in with the mindset of get the cash and run because I know me. Lol
I had walked around while they checked out my own personal purged fashionable pieces and came across this little gem. It IMMEDIATELY caught my eye....I mean it was love at first sight! ๐ lol YES clothing makes me emotional and I had to have it! I LOVE DIFFERENT and this hybrid poncho jacket creation was no exception. lol I tried it on and in my head had already put an outfit together. I was so caught up I didnโt even read the tag. I donโt buy into trends (often) and I donโt shop by brand.
My simple rule of thumb is buying whatever looks good on me and fits my personal style. After all style is a extension of who we are. This piece read different, fun and crazy, yep thatโs me!!! Lol So I walked away with a new addition to my #Stylemonsta arsenal and a little bit of cash. ๐ค Canโt beat that... or at least I thought.
My surprise was when I got home. The original tag was actually still attached. It was in fact a designer piece....ALEXANDER WANG to be exact! ๐คธ๐พโโ๏ธ๐คธ๐พโโ๏ธ๐คธ๐พโโ๏ธ๐คธ๐พโโ๏ธ๐คธ๐พโโ๏ธ It retailed for $695 at Nordstrom and I got it for $65! THE EVEN BIGGER surprise was after doing a little research and discovered that this was in fact a womenโs jacket! ๐ณ๐๐ฑ๐ Lol
Listen I know what your thinking and NO I donโt like wearing womenโs clothing. ๐ ๐พโโ๏ธ๐ ๐พโโ๏ธ๐ ๐พโโ๏ธ However with this piece Iโll make the exception and Iโm going to rock the shizzle out of it!!!! Thatโs my story and Iโm sticking to it. Lol
