In my head I usually categorize them as weird (magical) oviparous mammals, like platypus or echidna which do not have nipples (or belly buttons) and instead basically "sweat" milk from specialized pores

I've also seen interpretation that Trolls are actually sentient plants and I absolutely ADORE that idea (as a speculative evolution etc lover, especially weird ones (If I was more confident in myself being able to pull it off I would steal the idea <3)). That scenario also excludes nipples

But also fashion of female presenting Pop Trolls tends to cover their chests while male presenting Trolls do not (excluding Glitters but they are kinda their own thing I guess??). But also it doesn't really follow up on other genres, maybe Rock & Country? And it's just that little implication that really shouldn't matter much but I'm annoying </3

For Pop Trolls I've had an idea that they just got unconsciously influenced by Bergens with some of their current culture but idk??
