Vacation!
Hey there! Topic for today is ‘My Favorite Vacation Place’. My favorite vacation so far would be the one in 2016 when we went with a tour to ShangHai, China where i met an unexpected occurance(?).
I don’t really remember when we went to ShangHai but it was in December. We went to Singapore first then flew to HangZhou. When we reached, it was already night time. We rode the bus prepared for us and went to the hotel. While the tour guide is checking in for the hotel, we went to check out stores beside the hotel.
It was really really cold especially when the wind passes by. UGH.
The next day went to visit a place where a chinese legend of a tragic love story of a pair of lovers, Liang ShanBo and Zhu YingTai, took place. Legend says that Zhu YingTai is a wealthy man’s daughter who wanted to attend classes so she had to dress like a man. In that school, she met Liang ShanBo and they both fell in love. Liang ShanBo ,who didn’t know Zhu YingTai was actually a woman, felt weird on why he is attracted to a man. One day, Zhu YingTai received a letter from her father to return home as soon as possible. Zhu YingTai has no choice but to go home. Liang ShanBo then accompanies his “sworn brother” to see her off. On the way, Zhu YingTai hints Liang ShanBo that she is actually a woman but he fails to catch her hints. Zhu YingTai then thought of an idea and told Liang ShanBo that she will become a matchmaker for him and her “sister”-she didn’t have a sister. Before they part, she reminds him to visit her residence so he can propose to marry her sister. Months later, he went to her residence to propose to marry her sister which he then found out that Zhu YingTai was actually a woman. They are so in love with each other that they make a vow “till death do us apart” but their happiness didn’t last long. Zhu YingTai’s parents have already arranged her marriage with a wealthy merchant. Liang ShanBo who is heartbroken after hearing the news and his health gradually deteriorates until he becomes critically ill. He then passed away in his office as a county magistrate. One the day of Zhu YingTai’s marriage, they passed by Liang ShanBo’s grave. Zhu YingTai then went to pay respects. She descends in bitter despair and begs for the grave to open up. Suddenly, the grave opens with a clap of thunder. Without further hesitation, Zhu YingTai threw herself into the grave to join Liang ShanBo. Days after their death, it is said that a pair of butterflies were seen to emerge from their grave and flew away together, never to be separated again. 🦋
Next, we went to a residence. This residence is not an ordinary residence. It was owned by an honorable General, 陈阁老宅. I have the same surname as him omg 🤓.
We also visited an market place. People still live there but some of the buildings are preserved for historical purposes.
Next, we visited a pagoda which is said to contribute to the women’s power boom in China. There was legend of it too but i won’t be explaining it here since i am not familiar with it too. You can just search it on the internet “Legend of the White Snake”.
Next, we visited a place with a very big statue of Buddha. I then also witnessed a show where they bath(?) the Buddha statue.
Finally, we went to ShangHai. oops! the places above weren’t in ShangHai 🌚 We visited the Oriental Pearl Tower. It is known for its upper observation platform with a 1.5 inch glass floor at a height of 350m above the ground.
(there’s also a disney shop beside it as you can see 😉)
China’s scenery was the best i’ve seen so far, it is such a developed country yet there are still many traditional places for conservation ❤️
We then went back. This is where i start talking about the unexpected occurance. When i reached home, i was like “HOME SWEET HOME” then i received a notification from instagram saying “oohsehun just posted a photo” so, like the fangirl i am of course i had to open instagam and check.
This is what i got :) the hotel’s wifi was very very slow so i didn’t get to check anything :) if i’m not wrong, i went to Oriental Pearl Tower one day after he posted the picture which highly means that he went there the day he posted the picture. I don’t know what to feel about this. It’s like I’m kind of happy i went to a place he once were and like inhaled the same air as him. Not all fans got to do that 😏. But also sad that I didn’t get the chance to meet him since he’s that near :)
Anyways, it’s his birthday today! I would like to wish him Happy Birthday, Sehun! 생일축하, 세훈아~🎂🎉✨
