thinking about how much work i could get done if i would do it

i wish there were more than 24 hours in a day and beverages were $1 and growing up didn’t hurt so much

life is just humiliating yourself over and over and learning to live with the inherent shame of being alive !! do what makes you happy !! it is impossible to live life without embarrassment, so why bother trying !!

romanticizing your life is such a powerful tool and it’s a shame that it’s mostly used by people on tiktok to justify the purchase of expensive breakfast smoothies when there are few better ways to force oneself through unpleasant shit than imagining a cinematic backstory for your extremely quotidian suffering

for way too long i believed rejection was the worst thing that could happen to me. getting rejected by someone i really like, getting rejected by the university i obsess over. and though it did hurt, i realized sometimes a rejection is nothing more than that. not some eternal mark on my personality or identity. they just weren’t that into me, I just wasn’t the right fit for the university’s curriculum — and i found happiness somewhere else. because in the end, rejection doesn’t destroy you, it just helps you find the right path for yourself.
