Hi there!! I really, REALLY love your art, it's just so cool..... so many of your pieces are genuinely some of the best fanart I've seen and whenever you post something new I stare at it and come back to it all the time it's just so good!!!! Every detail from the hair to the armour to the anatomy is šÆšÆ spot on and the way you draw bodies is so expressive.... i'm not very good with words but please never stop creating šš
I also wanted to ask you if you're a professional artist? Have you studied art in any way? Your pieces are always so polished and look incredible... one of my resolutions for this year is to draw more but I donāt know where to start, do you have any advice for someone starting out?
Ah, youāre too kind!!! My skills are still far, far away from some of the real top fan artists out there! But Iām genuinely happy that my art seems to make you happyāthatās exactly why I make it š
I still sometimes feel that Iām not rendering different materials as well as I could, especially the contrast between them on a single page. But weāll see⦠I havenāt done any deliberate practice for a while, heheāI really need to catch up a bit. Am I drawing bodies expressively? Iām so happy you think so! To be honest, Iām not even sure myself, haha!! Iām trying⦠(I donāt even know what Iām talking aboutā¦!)
The answer to your question is yes. Iām a professional artist and have worked in the game industry for more than a decade š Iām sorry that I have to keep my side account separate from my professional oneāI donāt want to give my colleagues a heart attack or cause any trouble for my employer, since a lot of the art I post here is very NSFW, XDDD.
My major at university was architectural design. I self-studied and created a lot of digital art while I was still a student. That collection of personal work helped me land my first game artist job right after graduation.
I think if youāre just starting out, you should pick one thing or theme you love to draw (e.g., cute girls, cute animals, cool guys, etc.) and keep drawing it. The only way to become a better artist is to draw and paint a lot. Art is hardāyouāll run into many failures, experience self-doubt, and even self-hatred at times. It can be exhausting, too. Thatās why you need to find something you love drawing so much that, even when itās painful, youāll still want to draw it.
If you keep going like this, with enough practice, one day youāll suddenly realize: holy shit, Iāve actually become this good.
