episode two, part one: bombshell 💣

the sun rose on the villa, and everything seemed normal, boys hitting the weights, cooking up breakfast for the girls but the peace didn’t last long.

crystal, our newest bombshell, is done playing quiet. she pulled not one, but two boys, ace and zion for a secret date in the hideaway. tension was high, sparks were flying… but zion? he couldn’t stop thinking about the night before, where he and giovanna had a steamy secret hookup no one knows about. yet. 👀

meanwhile, sage took rejection from kerri like a champ… for about 10 seconds. he turned around and confessed his feelings to jasmine the same day, then got caught getting flirty with kenya at the villa party. whiplash much?

This story starts in a beautiful sunny morning in Mt. Komorebi, the home where our heroine grew up and current lives.

Rin was up early to get ready for a long trip. She would soon be leaving for Windenburg to spend the weekend there.

She actually knew someone who lived there. Her childhood bestie, Naomi. Naomi's mom was also from Mt. Komorebi and she was born there. The two girls met at school and were inseparable, they even went to Foxbury together. But after college, Rin came back home, and Naomi moved to Windenburg.

Downstairs, Rin's father, Kenji Yamada, was preparing a delicious breakfast for them.

When everything was ready, the two sat down to eat.

Kenji: So? Excited for your first trip all by yourself?

Rin: Yep! I can't wait to see everything there. I'm sure Windenburg will fill me with inspiration for my books!

Kenji: Have you already checked to see if you're taking everything you need with you? Will it really be just that bag?

Rin: It's just a weekend, dad, I'll be fine. And if I need anything else there, I know Naomi will help me out. Now let's finish eating, I still need to say goodbye to mom.

After eating, Kenji took the dishes to the kitchen to wash them, and Rin kneeled in front of her mother's altar, putting her hands together and saying a short pray in whispers.

Meiko Yamada, Rin's mother, used to be a passionate snowboarder representing Mt. Komorebi in all the big competitions. She had excellent skills, but still, sports like that can be very dangerous. One slip and it can be the end. And that was exactly what happened to Meiko, when Rin was just 11.

Rin: I'm leaving now, mom. I think that if you were still here, you'd be saying it's about time... I know I'm not adventurous like you were, but I'll try my best to not hesitate and actually be open to new things during this trip. Then I'll have a lot to tell you about my "adventure" when I come back!

After saying goodbye to her mother, Rin grabbed her suitcase and met with her dad outside. He had a sad smile on his face.

Kenji: I think it's only hitting me now that you're actually leaving...

Rin: Dad, come on! I'll be back in a few days and everything will be the same again.

Kenji: You can't blame an old man for missing his only daughter! Fine, go along. Give Naomi a hug for me, okay?

Rin: I'll miss you too, dad, you know I will. I'll send you messages every day, okay? And now, how about giving your only daughter a hug?

Kenji: I love you, my sweet girl. Have a nice trip!

Rin: I love you too, dad!
