The dangerous thing about fuckboys is they often look confident and know how to talk to girls. I noticed most of guys put on their online dating profile that they’re looking for a relationship but they don’t in real life. They do so because they know that’s what girls want to hear 🙄. Fuckboys often want to do “casual dating” aka fuck for “free”(without putting in any effort). I ain’t a convenient store 🤨

Single as a dollar 💵 and not looking for change 😉 ⠀⠀ Don’t settle for less. Your right “dollar” will come 😉. Change is heavy to carry around with you, why would you want that?

Plus it makes them appear like nice people by saying that. It hurts and confusing but don’t blame yourself. Because this time you can shrug 🤷🏻‍♀️ and really believe that “ It’s NOT ME, it’s YOU.” ⠀⠀

Once upon a time, the Millennial princess is told that “You have to kiss a lot of frogs 🐸  before you find your prince.” She takes the advice and kisses 1 frog 🐸, 2 frogs 🐸🐸, then 3 frogs 🐸🐸🐸. They don’t change at all. She still doesn’t lose hope and kisses more frogs 🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸 but none of them turn into the prince 👑. Those frogs are still frogs.  And they live happily NEVER after.

Don’t be a ghost , BE A HUMAN. ⠀⠀ Ghosting is a new brutal dating trend that happens a lot on online dating apps. It is the act of suddenly cutting off any kind of communication with the person they’ve been seeing. People seem to be afraid of confrontation. ⠀⠀ Here is my story. Let’s call the guy “Mr.Casper” 👻 . ⠀⠀ After connecting on the app, Casper and I met up. The first date was amazing. He insisted to see me again as soon as possible. After he left, he even called me on the way home to say that he liked me a lot. We had a second date a few days after that. We also facetimed/called each other 2-3 times a day for two weeks. I was pinching myself that how he could be that perfect. ⠀⠀ Until the end of the 2nd week, he called me at late night. My phone rang only one time. I tried to call back few times right away but no answer. “Maybe his phone was on silent”, I told myself. ⠀⠀ I texted Casper the next day. Nothing. Texted again after few days. Nothing. ⠀⠀ BOOOOOO, I just got GHOSTED. ⠀⠀ Watching @insecurehbo makes me feel much better because @issarae is so on point on portraying how her character reacts after getting ghosted. ⠀⠀ I, like her, was having this inner dialogue with myself for days. Did I do something wrong? I re-read the convos between us few times to see if I accidentally said anything not right. I kept checking his IG to see if he was online or not. He still updated his stories so it meant he checked his phone. How come he didn’t reply me? Maybe my messages didn’t go through. It happened, right? I was going nuts with all these thoughts but couldn’t help to stop them. ⠀⠀ I eventually told myself that I should not take this too personal. It is not me, it’s Casper’s problem. ⠀⠀ Almost a week passed. He finally texted me and said that he wanted to focus on himself (whatever that means). By then, I was over it. ⠀⠀ I will start putting this sign out to prevent any 👻. ⠀⠀ @cosmopolitan recently published an article about a dating app called @badoo which has a new anti-ghosting feature. Very interesting. ⠀⠀ Have you got ghosted before?

But is it a match? Or more of a Mis-match?

In this digital dating age, we most likely don’t experience “ Love at first SIGHT 👀” anymore. It is more like “Love at first SWIPE 👆” .Is it LOVE or LUST since dating apps becomes more of hookup apps? 🤔
