Learning to dance in the rain may sound like a cheesy phrase sometimes, but for me right now, it’s perfect. I feel like this saying tells people what you’re going through without having to give them any details. I have felt so gloomy and not my usual self for these past two months that I have been really leaning on Jesus for comfort and guidance. @shaneandshane have been on repeat. I haven’t listened to anything else but Christian music for the past two months by choice, and it’s been refreshing. Psalm 34 is the verse I am trying to live by and find comfort in. The songs Psalm 34 and Psalm 46 by Shane & Shane are my theme songs that I always seem to catch myself choosing to listen to. I know there is a way out of what seems to be this big black hole with no light, and as long as I hold onto Jesus and His truth, I know I will be just fine. If you are feeling the same way I am right now. Or whenever you do feel like this, I really urge you to surround yourself with Christian friends who will love and support you. Do not isolate. Do not just try to think it away. Ask for prayer, read your Bible, pray everyday all day, fulfill your spirit with Christian music and God’s word. Even tho I’m not fully out of this pit, I know that by filling my cup up with Him, I will eventually make it out of this depressed state of mind and go back to smiling and laughing like I used to. Bloom | NOUN - The state or period of flowering . . The word bloom means so much more than I think sometimes. I believe we always forget that the time in our lives that we are in right now is not forever. We are in the ‘blooming’ process and have not yet reached our full potential and beauty. Even a rose has to go through a growing process to form its beauty, scent, and for it to bring joy to those around it when it has fully grown to its potential. I know I forget this a lot. I think that where I am at in life right now. Being single at 20, having to work two jobs just to make it through the week, and never feeling like I am enough. God has been reminding me a lot lately that He is not finished with my yet. He has greater things for me in store. I just have to go through the blooming process. The waiting. The sometimes it’s easy and sometimes it’s not period. He reminded me that being single is a GIFT! JP from watermark community church taught on the gift of singleness, and can I just say that I have never paid so close attention to a sermon in church! Working two jobs is kicking my butt, but He keeps reminding me that there are greater things in my future, and that I have to go through this to get there. I have many friends around me that remind me that I am enough and loved no matter what others have said or done in the past. The Lord has me where I am right now to get me ready for what’s to come, and I can’t wait to see what it is. . Also, thank you @abi_gallagher for these beautiful temp tattoos. They are so cute 😍! My brother is engaged to the most beautiful, caring, adorable, and loving girl. I was so overjoyed when Ben and I were sitting in church one day waiting for the service to start and he told me he was going to marry her. We immediately started looking at rings and talked about how he should ask. I remember the first time I heard about Erin. I’m very protective of my brothers, but when I met her, I knew she was so good for him. @sassysasha was the one who told me about this incredible girl first and we were trying to figure out how to get them to meet without being pushy 😂. I have never seen my brother so infatuated with anyone else other than Erin. I’m so blessed and honored that Ben asked me to help him plan the proposal and photograph it. Ben and Erin, you have no clue how much I love y’all. You two are perfect together and I am so happy you two are with each other. Erin, thank you for making my brother so happy. You have treated him so very well. I absolutely love you and I can’t wait till you’re “officially” my sister. I can’t thank you enough.
