Looking for Beta Readers - Murder Drones Fanfiction!
Hey Murder Drones fandom! I've recently finished writing a complete 10-part psychological drama fanfic (~20,000 words) and I'm looking for beta readers who love diving deep into character psychology and world-building.
"Serial Designation K" follows an original disassembly drone who was serving at Elliott Manor before being "replaced" and cast aside. The story explores her psychological journey from trauma and abandonment through corruption by the Absolute Solver, and ultimately toward healing and redemption in a worker drone bunker.
Psychological realism - Deep dive into drone trauma, PTSD, and recovery
Memory suppression & recovery - Exploring what happens when K´s suppressed Elliott Manor memories resurface
Found family dynamics - Healing through genuine connections with other drones
Solver corruption arc - The temptation of power vs. choosing to heal
Canon-compliant world-building - Fits seamlessly into established MD lore
Redemption themes - Can someone who's been broken be put back together?
Feedback on character development (Does K feel real and relatable?)
Whether psychological themes feel authentic and respectful
Canon consistency (I've done extensive research but fresh eyes help!)
General reader experience - does it engage you emotionally?
Original characters (K, T, O) plus canon characters (J, N, V, Uzi)
Realistic trauma responses and healing processes
Exploration of what "purpose" means for an Disassembly Drone
Worker society integration and acceptance
Both dark psychological horror and hopeful recovery themes
⚠️ Content Notes: (Trigger/Content Warnings)
Psychological trauma and PTSD themes
Violence (aboute average MD level)
Mental health struggles and recovery themes
Teen+ appropriate content
I'm sharing Part 1 only initially (~2,000 words) to get initial impressions. If you're interested in reading more after that, we can discuss continuing with the full story!
If you're interested, please reach out via DM! I can share the Google Docs link and we can discuss what kind of feedback would be most helpful.
Thanks for being such an amazing and creative fandom, and of course for your consideration! 💜
(If there is also feedback on this post in general it would be greatly appreciated!)
Note: I could take a while to respond due to my time zone :)
