He jerked to a stop and looked up at Hawke. Fenris let out a small sigh of relief before latching onto Hawkeās arm. He tried not to dig into the manās skin with the gauntlets. The elfās free hand grappled at the cliff face and his feet scrambled for purchase. Unable to find anything but smooth stone, Fenris growled in frustration.
āTh-think you can pull us both up?ā he asked breathlessly, wondering how long Hawke could hold him before giving out. They werenāt out of this yet.Ā
āMakerās great--ā Hawke cut off, heaving them up an inch,Ā āHairy ball sack.ā He gasped, barely keeping his footing.Ā āFenris you need to lay off the pies.ā Despite the elfās efforts Garrett could still feel the spiked tips of Fenrisā gauntlets dig into the meat of his arm, but that would hardly matter if they both ended up plummeting to their deaths.Ā
āFenris,ā He began slowly,Ā āIf you canāt find somewhere to put your feet Iām going to have to throw you.ā As strong as he was, even Hawke couldnāt hang on like this indefinitely.Ā
