I’m still trying to work through my issues with perfectionism.  I don’t spend as much time worshiping my Gods as I would like because I’m still caught up in “doing it right” and doing it perfectly.  I’m beginning to see that my “right” is different than everyone else’s.  Each person has their own “right” way.  I’m still working on discovering mine.

I’ve been thinking about changing up my altars, but I haven’t done anything with them yet.  I feel like I have too much stuff on them, though I really like stuff.  I’ll probably spend forever thinking about it before I do anything, but we’ll see.  I think this year will be interesting for me.

I’m getting more into prayer beads.  I really like the system of prayer beads, though I’m still working on creating prayers that I can remember.  Who knows.  Maybe I’ll just say something different every time.  I would like to use them to help me get into a more meditative state, however, so that might require a more structured prayer that is memorized and just flows.

I’ve been doing a lot of shadow work lately.  It’s been very helpful, but I still have a long way to go.  I never realized how much resentment I had towards my parents.  I’m working towards self-love and letting go of past hurts.  I’m also working towards becoming more aware of my less than stellar aspects so that they don’t come up as often.

I barely slept last night.  I kept sitting up in bed and getting out of bed, feeling like I needed to be up for a ritual for Sekhmet.  I finally decided to just get up and start my day.  Maybe my subconscious was just jealous of everyone’s Sekhmet dream yesterday.  I still wish it would have let me sleep, though Sekhmet feels are not a bad way to wake up.

The time may have come to get back into hieroglyph studies.

A friend found an invocation to Sekhmet on youtube by Nia Yaa that I really like.  I don’t know if something like that could help me trance with the Egyptian gods, but it might be worth a shot.

Found a song to send me into trance today.  Learned that I need to do more shadow work.  Tell me something I don’t know.
