Big Update!

Last month I applied for a half table at the Overload anime convention here in Auckland, New Zealand...and I got offered registration! I'll be tabling for the FIRST TIME IN 10 YEARS this September! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!! NZ peers, hit me up please!!!!!

In a fiscally questionable but existentially soothing move, I ordered these vinyl stickers of these Linktober pieces. Thankfully the order came in time for me to take product photos to add to my portfolio for the application review lol

Made this little video of how I made the recent Linktober pieces! Around Day 6 I found out I liked the look of the new pencil brushes in procreate! Unfortunately that also meant the same workflow of real colored pencils haha

Linktober 2025 summary!

I took this challenge on to mitigate my irrational dislike for digital lineart. You can tell that the first few days I was still struggling, and it was only by Day 6 that I figured out how I wanted to approach the rest of the prompts. Sometimes the only way out is through! And a 30 (31) day challenge is a good reminder of that.

Next year maybe I'll try just good old traditional ink...? Maybe maybe hehe

The most “wild,” “untamed” region in my opinion is the outer edges of the desert where the map just fazes out.

At the same time I remembered this picture my bf took of me very successfully pinching Himeji Castle 😂
