"This-this-th-this has to stop! We're gonna get evicted if this continues!" You pace around your apartment in panic before stubing your toe on random corner, you yelp in pain clutching your injured foot and hopping to the couch to sit down.

Meanwhile, your husband, the most non chill person, puts a cold beverage infront of you in the calmest manner you have seen him pull out the first aid just for a paper cut. He hand you the cold pad which you set on your toe as he sits down next to you and rubs circles on your back.

"We'll figure something out."

"How?" You ask desperately. "The police are useless, that family from upstairs is scared to take their children out, they keep barrocading my way to work. What are we gonna do!" You upper body falls on his lap and he rests one hand on your side while the other pats your head.

"And the worst part is that those people are terrible! They have admitted to all kinds of bad things they did and expect a simple apology would suffice!" You turn on your back to face him now.

"If I actually was that woman they treated like that, I would've slammed the door in their faces and called the authorities."

"You did do that."

"I did, several times! What absolute maniacs! Now we're gonna have to move! But I don't wanna! And I like it here too, there's a park close by and I get to feed the animals there! Not to forget the pastry shop down the street or the apartment garages, we're not gonna find anything like that so easy because most of them just have parkings! It's gonna be such a-" While you were now crying and venting your heart out, he listened and comforted you.

Later on you were passed out on the couch, th glass of your favorite cold drink was now empty on the table with the cooling pad next to it. You dear dutiful husband covers you with a blanket as he hears you mumbling.

How it pains him to see you like this.

Standing up straight he looks at the picture hanging on the wall, your wedding picture, you two in a loving embrace looking excitedly at the camera, that bandage on your forehead was covered up thanks to the stylist, you wouldn't notice it unless you specifically concentrated on that spot.

Just because you don't remember those people anymore doesn't mean that he didn't know about everything you told him about them prior to the... incident.

It was one thing to beg for forgiveness, but it's a whole other to harass someone until they had a breakdown. He wishes he didn't go on that work trip just to prevent this sooner, now he has to dig in to why they are doing this because people like them don't suddenly turn a new leaf, and just like you said, they're maniacs... life-sucking leaches. There has to be an agenda.

He looks at your resting face, so calm and peaceful and that scar on your forehead has healed and shrunk a good amount. Sure he isn't a good person, but it would be a cold day in hell if he ever let's you go.
