this was the great egret hotel. the lake is, in its natural state, a massive valley surrounded by this ring of meadow, and I was going to convert it into a lake with a faux-reflection effect mirroring the sky, building, and surrounding terrain. I could never get the building to a point where I was happy with it (it's just a front facade here. imagine it falling down like a cardboard stage piece) and construction on-server never commenced. the reflection would have required a truly absurd amount of work. which was part of the point, I liked the idea that the building itself was relatively understated and the bulk of the effort instead went into manipulating the environment to simulate natural features you take for granted, an illusion. but I'm not sure it would have been feasible!
