A casual shrug, and a shift of his left arm, the hand reaching into his pocket. There rested his nest ball - inside, his trusty Arbok.

What was he getting at? Well...

The  Darkrai's  eye  stayed  half-shut  but  there  was  a  slight  loss  of  focus  on  her,  the  narrow  white  pupil  that  shone  in  the  dark  tracking  the  Miraidon's  movements  instead.  "...DEPENDS  ON  YOUR  MYSTERIOUS  FRIEND  HERE.  I  HAVE  NO  INTENT  TO  HARM  YOU  AS  LONG  AS  THEY  KEEP  THEIR  CLAWS  TO  THEMSELVES.  "  The  Iron  Serpent's  technological  appearance  made  it  somewhat  difficult  to  discern  its  actual  mood.  A  display-plate  for  face  and  LED-like  lights  shifting  in  shape  were  unlike  anything  he'd  ever  seen  before.  If  it  weren't  for  the  rest  of  its  movement  being  surprisingly  fluid  and  lifelike  and  the  fear  he  could  sense,  he  would've  doubted  if  it  were  a  Pokémon  at  all.

Which makes the other's following request... way less potentially intimidating than it should be. She knows better than following strangers in dark alleys, but she didn't really have anything to truly be worried about, right?

...right. Wouldn't be the first time she'd have to face a particularly powerful Pokèmon in case something went wrong. Couldn't be harder than the goddamn turtle.

He doesn't need to know about her whole backstory.

And, on the contray, he seemed to want her to know his, without spilling the beans himself. Just mentioning the RotomPhone made it fly in front of her, taking a picture of the darkness in front of it and uploaded it on the Dex.

Such slow loading meant that she was right, this wasn't an everyday Pokèmon at all! And the short entry that followed the registration, one that alluded to his powers, made her understand why Miri felt so tense. Didn't seem so different from a certain turtle she had the pleasure to meet, in the past.

Something-something, if she had a nickle for everytime a Pokèmon with the power of making people dream took an interest in her...!
