Excerpt from a short story I made for some kids
Al the alligator
Once not too long ago in the sunny land of Florida, a mother alligator was guarding her fresh set of eggs. There they sat in a neat circle of mud warm and content and unaware of the world around them. OH LOOK! The eggs are hatching. All the eggs have hatched, look at all the baby alligators playing in the water. But wait, there is one egg that’s still unhatched. Oh no, the mother alligator was sad when she noticed, she started to turn toward her newborns when suddenly CRACK the mother whirled around at the sound of the noise to find the smallest alligator she had ever seen. As the Tiny alligator struggled to get out of his shell his brothers and sisters fell on top of him in a big alligator pile. They struggled for a bit until the mother finally broke it up with a growl. As the sun finally set she gathered up all her new family into the nest and one by one they fell asleep until finally the Tiny alligator feeling warm and safe closed his eyes and slowly fell asleep. SUDDENLY
SPLASH!
CRACK!
The Tiny Alligator woke up to a pair of rough hands wrapped around him, even though the Tiny Alligator wiggled and squirmed he was too little to get away and the large man was too strong. His last look at his mother was her still asleep curled around her new hatchlings.
