Actually you know what yeah I do need to talk about episode 4’s ending specifically because holy shit. The desperation in Max’s face as she’s running, the slow motion cacophony of stuff crashing all around her, Vecna following her every move looking absolutely murderous and like he’s so close to catching her at any moment, Dustin Lucas and Steve SCREAMING Max’s name as she dashes towards the light, Max seeing herself floating in midair on the other side and knowing it’s now or never, and finally the RELIEF, the catharsis, Max making it out and crashing back to earth and everyone crowding around her and Lucas holding her tight and Max repeating the words he said to her before, “I’m right here,” just. CHEF’S. KISS.
