When younger, his mother put Doug in the closet as punishment for dropping one of the glasses in their kitchen.

Doug would cry saying the dark scared him.

Agreed, to dig deeper, this fandom goes to show the horrid reality of being a victim of people like Doug irl. Men like him are everywhere nowadays and these women never get the justice they deserve until it’s too late or nothing happens because no one takes them seriously.
