As Gay As Can Be

It's not fair that you had to go, that you had to fight so hard every day. You were and still are the strongest person I know. You have won every fight that life has given you until your body was so weak and your heart stopped. I am very happy to know that you no longer have to fight, that you are calm without pain, but it breaks my heart to know that you will not be there at Christmas or my birthday or even Father's Day because I really loved how you smiled when you received a gift for father's day, even though you always said i didn't have to. I miss how we said "goodnight to tomorrow" and gave each other a kiss on the cheek every night, and when I forgot to say you got angry. Only with me, not with my brothers, because you have always said "you never know when it will be the last time". For now I say goodbye, "until we meet again.

I fell in love with her broken soul, and the way her eyes said so many things other than “I’m fine”. I fell in love with a girl who took her mask off and showed me who she really was, a broken soul who means the world to me and who I one day will give a real reason to be happy.
