I do not want to hear about Bryan talking about how hot he thinks Aang is.
Also, if Aang is not yet the Avatar he needs to be, and he's dead in LoK, when does he actually become the Avatar? This movie was supposed to be his moment?
I'm still stuck on Aang being "between adolescence and adulthood" at 25. That's an adult, a young one, but an adult nonetheless.

A question for Zutara fic writers (and readers)
There's something that always confuses me whenever I'm reading a Zutara fanfic. Mind you, this is not an attempt to call anyone out but rather an invitation for an amicable exchange of opinions. Many times when Zuko and Katara are having a conversation and Kya's death is brought up Katara mentions that the reason her mom got killed was because she claimed to be the last waterbender of the SWT in an attempt to protect her, which we know DID happen. These moments also happen before the events of the Southern Raiders
The reason I'm confused is because I remember that Katara actually didn't know that Kya was protecting her until she heard Yon Rha recall what happened the day of the raid. In Katara's flashback that we see in the Southern Raiders, she doesn't witness the discussion between Kya and Yon Rha since Kya instructs her to go to Hakoda not long after she enters their home.
Again, I'm not trying to be mean but this is an aspect that does pull me out of the reading inmersion a little so I want to know if having Katara know about Kya's sacrifice is a deliberate choice or if I'm suffering from a weird Mandela effect sort of thing.

And this is why I say to deal with NATLA opinions very carefully. There are serious critiques and then there's this.
Watched the first 30 minutes of S2E1 of NATLA and so far it is giving the impression that they are gonna have Suki on screen for more time than in the cartoon. And you know what? I actually like this change because it's time Suki gets accepted as a Gaang member.
just goes to show that zutara fans have always been cooking, we just didn't know we had showrunners watching us like "WRITE THAT DOWN WRITE THAT DOWN"
NATLA writers after spending nights on Ao3 reading Zutara Book2!AUs
There is a difference between honest criticism and plain nitpicking and now that NATLA S2 dropped we will be seeing plenty of the latter.
Don't get me wrong, there are aspects of NATLA that deserve the criticism but if one is going to spend their review ranting about how Aang holds his glider with his left hand and not the other one instead of focusing on the actual issues of the show, don't expect to be taken seriously.
Also, don't have high hopes regarding the discourse about this show.

A ship being canon IS NOT indispensable for that ship's existence and popularity.
I repeat, a ship doesn't have to be canon to have shippers. It's a matter of preference. Especially not if that ship has managed to remain popular for 20 years despite it not being canon in the original show and not likely to be in the new one.
