A little late, and it’s been a while since I made an original post, but school has been keeping my hands and eyes crossed since I walked into my first class. 😭

This chart is amazing! Thank you so much!
Did you swallow a Farmer's Almanac.
dont forget that June is also Pride month
Brand new month! It's gonna be a busy one for me, so I will definitely need my bujo! Fruit theme for this month, as it's sunny and warm outside!
my prof sent me this–how he organizes theoretical readings. it looks promising!
literally… every note i take just makes me more and more excited to start fully plotting out my screenplay. i’m ready. i’m here for it.
i’ve mentioned this book before - ‘save the cat’ by blake snyder, but i do also want to recommend syd field’s ‘screenplay’ and john yorke’s ‘into the woods: a five act journey into story.’

9.17// looking back at some of my favorite august spreads 🌊
If you’re trying to narrow down what graduate schools to apply to I’d suggest finding a list of all the schools that have the program you want and crossing out all of the ones that are in places that you don’t wanna live.
I’m in the US and I crossed out entire states.
Whatever schools are left, go to their websites and see if you like the structure of their programs. Depending on how many schools are left this step could take you weeks but it’s worth it to make sure you’re getting into a program that has the right structure for you.
After that if you still don’t have a short enough list then you should do research on the professors, the culture of the school and city it’s in, and their methods of financing for graduate students (grants, teaching jobs, loans, etc.). You should probably have at least one aspirational school (one that’s hard to get into) and one safety school (that’s likely for you to get into) on your list. Six to twelve applications is normal but be aware that it can get really expensive to apply to a lot of schools if you don’t qualify for fee waivers.
Hello OP, thanks for this post.
I’m in the UK, but our college’s deadline for choosing universities is in November, and although I still have no idea what I want to do with my life, I was struggling to figure out how to narrow things down, and this has helped immensely. Thank you so much!
No problem! I had a hard time knowing where to get started too and some older friends sat me down and gave me some tips. It’s not always obvious where to get started with this stuff.
What do y’all do to put yourselves in the headspace to get work done? Still haven’t gotten it down yet tbh…
I think at least part of the problem is that in my house, I’m like, severely understimulated. I always study at coffee shops bc every couple of sentences I can look up & see people moving about & stuff, you know? But there is absolutely nothing going on at my house.
I’ve been trying to emulate the coffee-shop environment - making fancy coffee and cake, and playing a coffee-shop-type playlist on Spotify - I sometimes get up early and walk around outside for a bit so it feels like I’ve ‘arrived’ at a new location lol
THERE IS A FONT THAT IS DESIGNED TO MAKE U REMEMBER EVERYTHING
I don’t usually share a whole lot but THIS IS INCREDIBLE

I’ve been using this for my APUSH notes and I absolutely LOVE it! Sure I get strange looks from my teacher when he looks over my shoulder at what I’m typing, but whatever works, works, right?
I’m SO happy that this reached so many people oh my goodness
It’s such an incredible project and I hope it has helped heaps of you amazing students to study <3
This is so cool 🦔
Reblogging for later.
It’s called Sans Forgetica! Designed by a team of researchers at Australia’s Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, whose idea was to create a slightly more difficult reading experience, forcing the reader to absorb each word as they stare at it. [x]
I know a lot of my followers on here are students, so: this seems cool and might help a few of you!
If someone gave me something to read printed in that font I would straight up fucking kill someone
last semester i wrote a paper about the yerkes-dodson law, which basically states that performance on difficult complex tasks improves at a higher arousal level while performance on easy tasks is best at a low arousal level. basically, this is why you need to de-stress before taking a major test! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ posted on Instagram - https://ift.tt/36Ou5tC

Long time no talk :’) Haven’t been active at all this quarter (my apologies!) because I’ve had a really chaotic quarter with a lot of life changes. Had some really high highs and some really low lows – I would definitely rank fall 2019 as my most dramatic quarter yet. Fun, tumultuous, emotional, all of the above
I also haven’t really been studying much (the photos above are from summer MCAT studying) because of the chaos that is the rest of my life. Surprisingly though, I’ve been doing fairly well in my classes so maybe I’m finally learning how to work smarter and not harder. I’ve had to write more papers this quarter than any other, and I have rediscovered my hidden talent of pulling papers out of nowhere the night before they’re due HAHA
fun fact: these notes are from november, i took the photo in december, and now you’re seeing it in january :) the wonders of procrastination and photo scheduling! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ posted on Instagram - https://ift.tt/38adxwr

This is the way my 2020 journal looks like so far.
And for the first time I was able to catch the morning light!
A lot of things will change for me this new year... let’s see how it goes.
Are you ready for 2020?
if you’re in university, please read this:
whether you’re just finishing your first semester, or you’re a senior, or anything in between, be proud of the progress you’ve made. college is not easy, not even close. any accomplishment is a great one. don’t be discouraged by any future worries and be happy with everything you’ve done so far. i’m proud of you, and you should be proud of yourself!
Happy Christmas Eve! Hope you have an amazing day with your loved ones ♥️✨

some jazz and hot cocoa and criminal law. pro tip: if you mix cocoa powder, powdered milk, sugar, and salt in the right ratios, it tastes like swiss miss.
