a simply royal hunt. a rare visit to the crownlands that should have been just some fun change from the usual daily life at storm's end. her father may never let her out of his sight, or gods forbid the house, the moment he would receive word of this.

it was over before her mind could properly understand what had just transpired, fingers still clutching the handle of a dagger barely drawn. something had felt amiss, a feeling of dread causing enough unease to have kept hand close to concealed weapon. yet floris had been too slow in taking action. it was undoubtedly the grace of the gods that the prince had been there to prevent what could have been a severe tragedy, slaying the rogue before ever having the chance to touch her.
