My fav hunger scenarios ⋆.𐙚 ̊
➤• Characters who don’t have typical responses to their stomach growling like “i’m so sorry that’s embarrassing” or wtv, but when they say things like “…hungry.” or when they groan, or whimper instead. i’m a sucker for ts. (one of those is totally not just my blog name.)
➤• Animalistic reactions to food when a character is absolutely starving. This can be for characters who were raised in shitty situations, but it doesn’t really have to be. When they grow impatient, bounce their leg, become reactive, food protective, and then they absolute scarf down the first thing they get their hands on like it’s the last thing they’re ever going to eat. bonus if they eat so fast that they end up coughing which forces them to slow down a bit. chefs kiss.
➤• When they use their hoodie pockets to cover up rubbing their tummy… or like say they wear a poncho so their hands/arms are even more hidden.
➤• When they curl in on themselves as a protective measure due to an uncomfortable amount of embarrassment/vulnerability... Vulnerability can be mistaken for danger. It’s human instinct to protect your torso. Maybe they lean forward, and cross their arms… if they’re sitting down, they lean so far forward that their chin touches their knees. The smaller they are, the safer they feel.
➤• Honestly? When they hardly even acknowledge it. Maybe a wince, or a shift in posture… but nothing big enough to draw attention to them. Maybe someone nearby brings it up instead. “… was that you?” “are you hungry?” and then they just quietly nod. Maybe they’re dying a bit on the inside after that though.
