She’d been working the wine counter for just over 8 months, and every so often a customer that she was able to hold a polite conversation with. Mr Yoshikage had always been polite, so from her own money she’d purchased a vintage bottle of Pinot Noir and a birthday card. It was the least she could do, especially since she’d seen his birth date on his identity card. Jolyne served other customers as she waited for him to come in for his usual order.

January 30th, the one day Kira allowed himself to indulge in what he normally wouldn’t have. The day started off as it usually does; wake up, morning routine, listen to the radio report of another missing woman, straighten tie one last time, then out the door to work. Someone figured out what today was at the office, word spread, and for the duration of the day he received birthday wishes. Afterwards, when offered to be taken out for a drink, he politely declined, saying that he wanted to spend the evening with his beloved and a shared home cooked meal.

And so he drove to his favorite wine counter, as he was craving pan-seared filet of sirloin with red wine sauce, and he was in need of more red wine.

½ Body- 3$ for first character, plus .50 to add one

Chibi- 1$, plus .50 to add another. Size of chibi is usually no larger than 1000x1000 pixels.
