I really don't want to do this, but here it goes.
I was in a car accident last weekend. I'm sure that anyone seeing this can imagine the financial hardships that immediately follow afterwards. The person who was found at fault's insurance doesn't cover a rental, and due to the injuries I've sustained, I cannot work. To be very frank, nothing's looking up for me right now.
My rent is due soon, I still have to pay my car note and insurance for an undrivable vehicle, and I need to buy a cane to assist with walking as I experience vertigo whilst standing up and moving about. It has also been found that the base of my spine (L5) is deteriorating. So moving forward I'll be doing a lot of physical therapy, chiropractor care, and - at some point in the future - surgery.
So here I am, doing the last thing I saw myself trying to do, asking for help. I know the stigma that comes with doing this and some of you might see this as me being lazy or trying to scam. I truly don't enjoy asking for help so please understand that I've had to set aside my ego and make myself vulnerable to do this.
