Looks like someone is not doing too well at strip Poker. I wonder if she took off her shoes before or after she started playing! Maybe her shoes were her ante!

having been asked to relinquish her shoes when she arrived she was perfectly at ease in her stocking feet

Knowing that shoes were not permitted, she brought stylish slippers to wear

having coffee at a friends, she was happy to take off her shoes and feel the cool tiles on her hosed toes

Knowing her friend had hardwood floors she brought slippers to wear so her heels would not mar the floors

Visiting a friend she removed her shoes to be comfortable
