Jennifer tried to get up but to no avail. Her body refused to let her move anymore. Her energy was completely gone, having been consumed by pain. All she could do now was watch Marty die.

But then someone walked out in front of Jennifer, his long tan coat billowing behind him. He stood in front of her, readying what looked like a Winchester rifle that had been modified with a telescope in his hands. He aimed it right at the rope Marty was being hung by. 

BANG!!

The rope snapped, Marty falling to the ground in a heap. The gang had stopped laughing, all cocking their guns and pointing it at the man who had saved Marty’s life. The man had already reloaded his rifle and now had it pointing at Buford.

“It’ll shoot the fleas off a dog’s back at 500 yards, Tannen, and it’s pointed straight at your head!” the man shouted.

Jennifer’s eyes widened. She recognized that voice.

“Well, Doc, now we know who Clara is.” Marty said with a grin.

“Indeed we do.” Jennifer giggled. “School teacher huh? Guess that would be your type.”

Doc’s face burned red at their comments before he gave both a glare and menacing grin.
