Ever since I can remember, I’ve experienced what only in my adulthood can be recognized as ‘persisting hallucination perception’. Sometimes it can supercede my vision of external settings and become a kind of blindness to the world, yet a shimmering depth of patterns and colours to no end in sight. Here’s what a walk in a meadow on a bright day may resemble to me. I’d always thought it to be normal yet mostly found it it to be uncommunicable and/or irrelevant - just like the ubiquity of our dream-life. Nothing else has ever occurred to me. This is inexorable to the fabric of my visual and auditory reality and I’ve never taken to pathologizing it. Thanks to @evans_contemporary, for putting me on for a solo exhibition 5 years ago this month. (at Evans Contemporary) https://www.instagram.com/p/CYdCHJTsldV/?utm_medium=tumblr
