My body/mind connection involves practicing groupal stretching exercises based on yoga. After years of living inside my head, getting in touch with my heart comes like a tempest and I find myself touching emotional places in the middle of sessions. I know tears are a way for my body to heal but I don't know what to do with my eruptions of anger. I'm mostly afraid of what my classmates may be sensing from me. Should I apologize with them when this episodes happen or how should I deal with it?
When anger arises, let it. Even if it turns into an eruption of anger, that’s okay. There is something more important that you need to do.
Stay aware.
If you suddenly notice you are angry but you don’t remember the moment in which you transitioned into anger, then awareness was lacking. That is your first assignment: maintain awareness during emotional transitions.
When you aren’t aware of the transition from one emotion to another, you will unconsciously identify with the emotion. This has an intoxicating effect that potentiates confusion and suffering.
When you are aware of the transition from one emotional state to another, that state may still feel the same–or it may feel worse! But you will notice a key difference: no intoxication.
How/why do emotions with which we unconsciously identify intoxicate us? Your thoughts and perceptions tune into the frequency of your identifications, in this case your emotion. Then you start thinking and perceiving in terms of that frequency. This deludes your sense of self and world.
By maintaining awareness and therefore reclaiming some consciousness from misidentification, the emotion may still be there but the intoxicating and frequency-altering effect wont take hold. And if it does, it will be weaker than it would otherwise.
Your second assignment is to watch the anger like you would a thief. Regardless of whether or not you were aware of the transition, once you notice anger within, place your attention on it. Not the thoughts about anger, the memories attached to it, or the circumstances to which it is connected, but rather the feeling and sensation of anger in your body.
Like watching a thief, you watch the anger so that you don’t lose anything to it. Not only that but when you get the knack for this, it becomes a way to start digesting the anger itself. The way I experience it is that the anger or emotion digests itself–or rather burns itself out like a flame deprived of oxygen. You aren’t “doing” the digestion but rather depriving the emotion of fuel. Thinking about anger, dwelling on the things we attach to the anger, all of that simply fuels the emotion and keeps it alive. Feeling emotion with rooted awareness but refraining from indulging it will restore natural harmony. You will be more like a child, who can swiftly feel intense emotion but release it and move on just as quickly.
Many people commonly mistake this sort of spiritual technology as one of suppression but it is not so. In doing the above, one actually experiences an emotion more fully and clearly. While many people indulge self-destructive emotions because there is some sense of satisfaction found therein, like picking a scab, that satisfaction is only found when there is a degree of unconsciousness involved. Once you are fully conscious of an unpleasant or downright destructive emotion, you drop any vested interest in its continuation. You will realize that to keep perpetuating it is insanity.
For anyone else reading this, all of the above works for every emotion, not just anger. Fear, insecurity, anxiety, sadness, depression, and more.
It sounds like the current practices you are doing are very effective for what you need right now. Trust your classmates to be as understanding as you are. But if any seem rattled or hurt by your episodes, absolutely apologize. If needed, it may help to explain that there are old impressions/holding patterns within you that are releasing, of which anger seems to play a part.
My personal approach to morality in spirituality is that we should let nothing hold us back, no cultural norms, no societal conformities, no rules and regulations. Our compass must be our hearts and our sincerity, rather than rote and rule. But the major exception and caveat is to refrain from hurting less developed/evolved beings. We need never hesitate to offer love, gratitude, and apologies.
Namaste sis :) Much love.
Cocaine Trafficking Routes: Who Are Numbers One Through Four?
Map from The Economist.
A colleague spotted this item in an interview that the Honduran daily El Heraldo published with Gen. John Kelly, commander of U.S. Southern Command.
Amid effusive praise for President Juan Orlando Hernández, Gen. Kelly hints that Honduras is no longer the number-one place where cocaine shipments arrive after they leave the Andes (as has been the case about since Honduras’s 2009 military coup).
“Before President Hernández took power, Honduras was the number-one point where cocaine arrived, and today, thanks to President Hernández’s efforts, and those that the Southern Command is carrying out together with President Hernández, Honduras now isn’t the number-one country, it is the number five for arrival of drugs, for being the first point of drugs. And the air tracks that come from Venezuela, which carry approximately a ton, approximately 2,000 pounds per plane, 18 months ago they were something that happened almost every day, and now, thanks to the cooperation that exists between Honduras and the United States, the U.S. Embassy, they have almost totally be eliminated.”
“What countries are the number one, two, three, and four on that list?” El Heraldo asked. Gen. Kelly replied, “It probably wouldn’t be good to answer that question, the good news is that Honduras is in the number five position.”
Which countries today might be the number one through four first landing points for cocaine moving from the Andes?
They could include Mexico, which would mean that planes, boats, and semi-submersibles remain able to get around U.S.-led interdiction efforts in the eastern Pacific and western Caribbean.
They could include Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, or Guatemala, which—if smugglers are continuing to take short hops up the Central American isthmus—could all be seeing arrivals in amounts similar to Honduras.
They could include the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Puerto Rico or other Caribbean islands. In its 2015 “Posture Statement” [PDF], U.S. Southern Command noted that increased U.S.-led interdiction in the western Caribbean, near Central America, “has driven increased activity in the Eastern Pacific non-littoral route”—pushing cocaine trafficking toward these islands.

Look at your feet. You are standing in the sky. When we think of the sky, we tend to look up, but the sky actually begins at the earth. We walk through it, yell into it, rake leaves, wash the dog, and drive cars in it. We breathe it deep within us. With every breath, we inhale millions of molecules of sky, heat them briefly, and then exhale them back into the world.

Miguel Nicolelis: Brain-to-brain communication has arrived. How we did it #TED :
The Seemingly Lonely Life Of A Starseed:
The life of a Starseed can be a very lonely one. Sadly, the plight is one that most people don’t understand and might even mock. The very decision to talk about your Starseed status, according to clients of mine, can be more difficult than coming out of the closet as a homosexual. For those who have had to do both, they report feeling more stress and more criticism and ridicule coming out as a Starseed than they did as a homosexual. In fact, sadly, many people have never heard the term or believe it to be only a fictional status from a science fiction story. The same was once applied to submarines, airplanes, cell phones and a number of other things that are considered normal this day in age.
One of the saddest stories, again and again, is that of the Starseed who takes their lives way too early. It can be easy to understand when you think about the challenges we face. Loneliness, a constant feeling of being out of place, segregation, ridicule and the ever growing feeling that we really are different than anyone else. Finding support is even more difficult when we reach out to the online community and find nothing but trolls on websites meant to be safe havens and community gathering spots for others like ourselves. This is no reason to give up, however.
The very reason we are here is to help others. Think of the persecution so many others before us have faced throughout history, some even being executed for simply trying to spread the message they were sent here to deliver. Fortunately, this day in age society is a little less barbaric and many more protections are in place for not just ourselves, but all societal outcasts. Still, the fear can be just as overwhelming as the loneliness.
If we’re lucky, the ability to find one person in our lives who loves us and supports us knowing who and what we are is a blessing. There are a rare few who have the support of many and they truly are the most fortunate. This should not be the case however. We cannot do our jobs alone. While certain Starseeds, like Arcturians, can in fact use their healing abilities under cover through the medical industry or similar outlets, many of us need the support of others to do our jobs. Even the simple task of figuring out who and what we are can be challenging when there are so many false people looking to rationalize their true mental instabilities.
Our job, then, is to reach out and find true Starseeds like ourselves that we can commune with and have the support of. Just knowing that there are others who share the same plight in life can be encouraging and even still the very basic of having someone ‘believe you’ is an amazing feeling once it happens. I am fortunate enough to have a small number of people that believe me. Some people in my life don’t know anything about it because I know they would either ridicule me to my face, which is a painful experience I’ve had to deal with more than once, or almost more painful, ridicule me behind my back to others.
The bottom line, however, is not to allow the challenges to distract us from our jobs. Starseed or not, challenges in life only push us to do better and learn more. The wiser thing to do is to make sure that we learn from the right people, places and materials. Not all authors are born equal and not all authors have the right intentions or information themselves. As Deepak Chopra teaches, before acting on anything, reflect inwardly first to see if the karmic energy feels right with you. Never take anything at face value, Starseed or not.
Know that there are many of us that would like to meet more Starseeds and we understand the pain you are going through. We too have suffered it and suffer it on a regular basis but still find a way to smile and laugh every day and still find love and beauty on this planet because that too is part of our job during our stay here. Knowing that something better lies on the other side is not a fair enough excuse to our universal family to end our stay here early, especially at our own hands. Suicide is not the answer.
For those who live a full life, they will see how quickly the time actually did pass and when we move on to our intergalactic homes, reunited again with our own kinds, we will be celebrated for a job well done, and still we will think back on all the Earthly experiences we missed out on while we pitied ourselves. That being said, this planet is our playground. We Starseeds, especially, are meant to travel, see the wonders of the world, meet its people and find others like ourselves. Certainly we’re not all kept on the same continent, let alone speaking the same language nor bound by the same financial status. We reside on all continents, speak all Earthly languages and live in all levels of wealth and poverty. While each of us is creative and intellectual in our own ways, some of us are famous musicians, filmmakers, painters and have other creative careers while others still herd sheep every day, work in factories or are physically disabled, incapable of doing any job at all.
When you think about the challenges we face as Starseeds, think of the challenges that humans without the Starseed status face. While we get to live lifetimes all over the universe, experiencing lifetime after lifetime in differing cultures, races, times and bodies, humans are stuck lifetime after lifetime living here on Earth over and over again limited by human technology, human wars, human mentality and are limited to the very thoughts their minds hold. Think of the ignorance and intolerance humanity has suffered from the beginning of time and then realize how blessed we are to be free to know, accept, love and experience people of all types. Our experience is limitless!
Don’t give up. Don’t give into the pressures. Forget about drug abuse and financial woes. Rise above it. Learn how to use our human bodies to the fullest by the very gurus of this planet. Learn to access your higher self. The information available applies to us as well as human souls. Don’t forget the blessings that await us and remember that if we don’t finish our time here as is decided for us, we’ll only be sent back again.
Hang in there kid… it only gets better!

People were asked where they felt certain emotions. Areas of increased activity were colored to look like fire, and areas of decreased activity look like ice.
These “emotional heat maps” provide a glimpse into where people feel things. But there’s a lot more to an emotional story than location. What precipitated the emotion? How did it feel? How much did you allow yourself to feel it?
If you didn’t feel the whole thing, did it simply vanish, or is it still waiting there, crouched in your knees or heart or stomach, smoldering and fidgeting?
This gif was created by me from materials inside a scientific paper written by Lauri Nummenmaa, Enrico Glerean, Riitta Hari, and Jari K. Hietanen.
Have you ever felt a part of your soul, deep within you wanting to break free? The lump in your throat from swallowing raw emotions. The heaviness weighing on your chest, and back because of all the love you didn’t express you just held back. Doesn’t it ache?…
